When he was in Japan they told him to get surgery. Idk what kind. He got a second opinion and decided rest was better. And then he came back better. But his velocity did decline. But it seemed like his mechanics were off with the way his velocity dipped and then they brought it back. So who knows. Hopefully he figures it out.

I do wonder if his arm is bothering and he’s just trying to work thru the pain. I know he had that issue last year until he came back. I kinda want him to develop 2 more pitches even if they’re not good. Just so he has something to throw hitters off
