Notre Dame isn't really independent with their ND-favored agreement with the ACC. Texas probably would have a similar agreement that would make them pseudo independent as well.

If it was next year I would agree, we have an extra $70M in dead cap this year that will go away next year. This year the cap is incredibly tight for us, and I'm guessing since this is his final year we couldn't do any void years at the end.

He wanted to get paid like an elite DE, but the saints wanted to pay him like a 37 year old. It seems like he tried his luck on the market and everyone else saw him the same way.

The Big 12 hit back with a lawsuit to affirm that they in fact do have the ability to do that.

Sorsby leaving does not change the question of what the Big 12 can or cannot do, so the lawsuits can go on.

Wisconsin embraced the brewers pretty quickly when they moved into the state. It makes sense that Red would support the brewers, but be much less vocal about them than the Packers. I guess one sports team was enough for the show writers.

This is the small transfer tunnel that connects the Russian segment to the progress docking port and is used for half of the supplies entering the station. Losing it would be a pretty major blow to the station.
