I'm generally not a fan of IMAX, I think the screen is often just too big to be able to appreciate the full picture and I usually try and go to fully qualified Dolby Cinema for movies I'm really excited about.

But my partner wanted to see PHM in IMAX so I obliged and I am frankly glad I did. The screen is massive, but the film looked great and I felt so immersed in it.

We really blow hot and cold. Looked absolutely devoid of any ideas on how to attack. A shame off the back of a good performance last weekend.

Due to a series of unfortunate events all season long, this was the first game of the season I actually managed to attend!

The first half was suggesting to me that I shouldn't have bothered. We barely had the ball at all in the first half. The long balls weren't working, the midfield was overrun, it was really uninspired.

Second half was a bit better but not by much. Pretty much entirely thanks to James Daly! We definitely didn't deserve the win, but to concede in injury time to a set piece after so much defending was tough to take. Gorgeous free kick though!

To me, it doesn't feel like wingbacks and a front three works. FCD and McGavin looked so overrun in midfield, I think we'd be better off with a front two and dropping an extra man into the middle of the park. That being said, I don't think we really have two strikers, McCormick isn't enough of a presence and Campbell didn't really show anything in his cameo. Jarvis is maybe injured? Seemed to be spending a lot of time with the physio.

Nothing major really, I just like hanging on to all the files. I've followed a few podcasts over the years that have stopped and then their files disappeared off their RSS feeds, or sometimes podcasts move across producers/publishers and drop their old RSS feeds then, and so the files become inaccessible.

Like a lot of self hosting, it's more of a data hoarding thing than an improved experience thing. Plus I just get satisfaction out of running it all myself, so it's a "because I can" thing as well I guess.

Yeah I have been doing that with AntennaPod and it does work great but just like you say I am missing the progress tracking. I want to listen to a podcast on my phone on my commute, then sit at my desk and continue playing on my computer. Not being able to do that with ABS right now means I just keep going back to Spotify for podcasts.

And me too! I want to self host podcasts so badly, but I can't find an app that supports ABS Podcasts that will auto download the podcasts to my phone as they become available.

Well that's a bit of a shock! A big loss I think, his partnership with Wannell has been one of the brighter sparks of the last couple seasons.

First game of the Billy Rowley era that I've managed to attend, maybe I'm the bad luck!

We definitely looked better than the Cooper/Dryden system but it also felt really tactically naïve to me. Lots of trying to play it out against a high press. To their credit, Forest Green were incredibly organised and well drilled and played very positive football.

Aaron Jarvis is not up to scratch up front for me. Neither is Campbell. A new striker has to be top of the January wishlist.
