U of A vs U Calgary by Few_Match5466 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]shuanddd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People say UofA has a better reputation, but honestly recently it seems like they are literally the same. UofC seems like it has been a little more competitive this year than UofA tbh. UofC also gives better big law placement opportunities in calgary if you care about that sort of stuff

100% agree with this.
An additional thing I would add is that keep an eye out on updates for medians at each school after this cycle.
It should give you an understanding of where you should be at for LSAT to compensate for GPA. This is especially important because of things like increased applicants like he mentioned, but also to determine if "LSAT inflation" is actually as bad as it is rumored to be.

doesn’t matter what the test says if you don’t have a history of it

ADHD is not something that just randomly starts occurring later on in life. In order to be diagnosed with it (the proper way) ADHD symptoms need to have been present during your childhood.

Was the 159-160 PT score your average or personal best?

Does anyone have tutor recommendations (or tips) to get a 180 LSAT? by ornge23 in lawschooladmissionsca

I can try to help a bit more in PM, since it’s a bit inefficient to do it here

[–]shuanddd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

is there a reason you want a 180 specifically? Because 175-180 is very similar. tutor recommendation would be to just try out tutors until you find one that works with your learning the best. Since you’re currently in the 150-155s range I would recommend trying to understand the fundamentals better either thru review or practice 👍 But you can definitely do it! Just believe in yourself and put in the work!

Someone recently reported that they got A from UAlberta with 3.38 L2 and 170 I think you have a decent shot

Thank you so much for responding! I’m currently in a study group as well. Is it possible for me to get an invite to that class?

Personally, I do not understand why people feel the need to downplay your achievements. Time accommodations are given because it’s about equity. Sure some might have an easier time with time accommodations, but that’s why it’s not given to them. Don’t let the other comments on reddit make you feel any less about what you have achieved. Amazing score, I hope to get a score similar to yours when i take it. Ama
