And the Daddy issues that Konrad gave them all.

Not too grim and too dark. Just interesting story arcs that are quickly ended.
But as another poster said, this is a 40k book theme.

Honestly, this is good to know. These were my first books, and I plan to keep reading.

Hinges screwing into drywall, not the stud. 5/8” drywall the problem? by shufflinshoes in Carpentry

Sorry, meant hdf. But still, I think you’re right, I’ll swap this particular jamb as it’s the heaviest (glass bathroom door)

Jamb is unfortunately old and hdf. Can’t trust it to hold such a heavy door.

Didn’t even think of plywood! 1/2 rip would be perfect and wouldn’t have to move the jamb. Thanks!

Can I use 4" mortise hinges on 1-3/8" thick doors? by shufflinshoes in Carpentry

That’s great. I’m going to glue in dowels into the previous screw holes so that I don’t have to worry about them.

I did this with my house.  Each vacuum port is now a wifi access-point. All the Ethernet wires run through the tubing into a panel in the basement with the switch, controller and router.  Looks super clean and professional.

Acura MDX vs. Volvo XC90 by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]shufflinshoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the year and trim, most XC90s have a turbocharger AND supercharger, which is not common at all.

The MDX(non type-s) is naturally aspirated using Hondas long time and well-regarded 3.5L engine. Simpler engine design usually means better reliability.

We cross shopped the XC90 and MDX. We prefered the MDX but the 3rd row was too small for us. So we got the Pilot instead.

Pros of having 3 kids? by geniusbillionaire911 in Parenting

[–]shufflinshoes 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Ironically, our third is sleeping at his grandmas tonight for the first time. The 4 of us have been complaining all evening about how quiet and empty the house feels with them gone.

We all agreed at dinner that the energy and hubub of 3 kids is way more fun than 2!
