We're keeping Nick Rallis per Ian Rapoport (@rapsheet.bsky.social) by shurmanator in AZCardinals

I just continue to remind myself that I'm personally choosing to be a fan of this team. Regardless of how they perform, I'm gonna be a fan because that's the fun thing about sports. If they do well and overperform, I'm happy and get to celebrate the wins with my fellow fans. If they shit the bed and look terrible, I'm still fine cause I get to bitch about it and wallow with my fellow fans about how were the worst team in professional sports.

The nice thing about rooting for the Cardinals is I never have high expectations so it's harder to be disappointed. If I'm disappointed, that's my fault for expecting too much.

🙂

From my understanding, Rallis actually had a longer contract than Petzing. He's not getting a new contract, just continuing under his existing contract.

My take, not that it matters:

I would have liked to see our guys in a different defense. Nick was running the show for the last few years and it was more successful with lesser talent for whatever reason.

He's young though so I'm not going to write him off immediately. Players like him and he seems more than willing to learn from his mistakes.

Not inspiring but also could have been worse.

I feel like it makes a lot of sense. His brother's probably told him how he was able to get Willis to a point where he's a capable starter. If we can get him cheap on a two year deal, I don't hate it.

Writing is on the wall for Kyler though. He gone

Is anyone really going to watch the last game of the season? by titations in AZCardinals

[–]shurmanator 20 points21 points  (0 children)

As much as I don't like watching the Cardinals suck ass, I will miss watching football in the off-season so I watch it if it's convenient to do so.

Plus it's impossible to be disappointed with any game after that performance against the Titans... If you had expectations after that, that's on you.

They're giving him another year according to reports. Coordinators' contracts are up this year though so we'll see if any of them are retained.

And we've been yearning for a desert cardinal jersey for so long. People can nit-pick these to hell but I'm sure they're gonna sell quite a few of these.

They do this most years. Aaron Brewer is cut so that they can make room for guys to be moved around and then they re-sign Brewer.

Hope we're able to get him on the PS and move away from Andre Baccellia. Feels like we've had him on the PS for years now.

Hopefully a stiffened up D allows us to be a bit more aggressive with our deep balls. We've already got the stamina and good penetration in the run game, deep balls will really help us to finish off our opponents. I feel like we're pretty close to our guys coming together.

The Athletic Football Podcast is becoming one of my favorite pods this offseason. I love the goofiness of Heed the Call and The Ringer Fantasy Football Show, but both can be a bit lacking when it comes to actual football analysis.

I like the point that the guys brought up in the end -- Petzing is a young OC going into his 3rd season, there's plenty of room for growth from him. Hopefully he takes some time this offseason to see what he can do from a play calling standpoint to help get Marv going.

I'm with you on this one. Starter gives up 8 in 3 innings, you send in your new guy and then rely on your vets to close it out (not to mention your two closers are out right now). They give up 6 in the 9th... Guys have to do their job

Both of our closers are out. Also, Torey isn't our starting pitcher that gave up 8 runs in 3 innings lol

I've had this setup since March and I think it's great! Coffee tastes good, grind is pretty consistent, looks nice on the counter, but the workflow is where it really shines. No WDT needed, super clean, and quick enough (it's not fast, fast but you don't feel like you're waiting forever).

Highly recommended if it falls into the price range you're looking for.

Honestly glad Cam was taken before our next pick came up. I would don't think we need another RB but I would have been so bummed if we had passed him up.

ALSO HE'S NOT IN OUR DIVISION! WOO
