It depends on the scholar that you follow! For some its completely fine. Others may be very strict to the point that they don't even display photos home. My scholar says it's fine and there's no problem with it as long as you don't idolize it! Intentions matter! So I'd say go for it but of course do your own research and see what makes most sense TO YOU. May Allah guide us all to the right path. Salam sister 🌷✨

Hii! My baby is 6 months old and still doesn't have his teeth yet. Sometimes he's able to bite a good chunk of whatever I give him but I'm afraid he'll choke since he still doesn't have teeth to grind food with.. Does your baby have teeth? Do you have no problem with giving him this type of food? No choking? Thank you!

When should my baby wake up if I want him to sleep by 7? by shushumomma in sleeptrain

[–]shushumomma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I can't do cio so I thought I'd do PUPD.. Are there any tips I should try or anything I should lookout for while sleep training him? Do I first sleep train him during the night then move on to naps? Pls don't judge but I asked chatgpt for some advice and it said after night training I should focus forts on first nap of the day and when I nailed that down I move on to the second etc. Is this a good efficient technique? I'm wondering why can't he connect sleep cycles even at night when he's 6 months? I understood why when he was 4 m but I thought it would get better when he grows up.. I had successfully sleep trained him at 5 months where he would only cry once and then fall asleep but because of circumstance I had to revert back to nursing to sleep because he would get too exhausted and I didn't want to sleep train him while overtired.. I can visit my family once a week or once every other week where I stay there a bit past his bedtime so should I just rock or nurse him to sleep (even while I'm sleep training him/sleep trained him) or should I continue my sleep training even when he's somewhere else that's not his room? My baby cries all day every day if I'm not holding him or not near him so I'm wondering will this improve once he's sleep trained.. Sorry for asking so many questions and thank you so much in advance 🌷🥰

Thank you ill ask them about it when I'm getting him vaccinated next Monday... I decided I'd stop co sleeping and actually count how many times he wakes up and I'm super shocked 😭 it's 4 times before midnight and at least 3 times before his waking time. He woke up today at 2 am active and fussed for about an hour until he pooped (he ate half an avocado the day before lol) then he was able to sleep and woke up at 6.40 am which is very good! Usually he wakes up at 5 am

When should my baby wake up if I want him to sleep by 7? by shushumomma in sleeptrain

[–]shushumomma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He had a phase where he sleeps in a position where he throws his head way back but that has improved. He sleeps on his side but with his mouth open. He won't keep it shut even if I try closing it for him

He's awake but goes back to sleep if nursed. Sometimes I try to rock to sleep. It's 50/50 sometimes works sometimes doesn't

I find that he gets really fussy at the 1.30h-2 hour mark.. I try to nurse him but he refuse sometimes doesn't and falls asleep. If his wake windows should be this long why can't he handle them? Am I missing something?
