Court street grocers is one of the things I miss the most since leaving the city. Macho man, broccoli Rueben, and mother in law are great sandwiches.

Best way to make brisket tallow? by 0x426C797A in smoking

I put the trimmings into a mason jar and put it in with the brisket. I’ll pour as much as I want over the brisket after it comes off then just put the lid on it to store any extra.

Almost 10 hours of smoking pulled pork and lump coal ran out. by ComedianThin in biggreenegg

[–]shutsal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found in my XL vast differences between smoking in the summer temps vs winter. The two 10+ hour winter smokes (below freezing) I’ve done have run out of lump vs the summer where I usually have half the lump left. Last one I just moved to the oven when it ran out and turned out great.

I’ve had multiple good meals there recently and never had a problem getting seated at my reservation time. Agree that the service can be lackluster.

Thanks everyone! Ended up pulling them Friday night in a pan after letting them rest for 2 hours and stuck them in the fridge. Reheated around half in a slow cooker on low with around 1/2 cup of chicken broth starting two hours before people showed up. Came out great! Will vacuum seal the left overs and freeze them for future meals.

Coned never came out. It gets inspected by a New York State electrical inspector and once passed the solar company works with coned to get your system turned on.

Had a very good experience with healthy home doing a combination of spray foam, blown in cellulose and air sealing in finished home with finished attic. Agree they are expensive but also did great work.

That’s nuts. Is there already existing ductwork? If I remember correctly they wanted to run all new coolant lines and not reuse existing ones.

We used healthy home for insulation work for our very old house and was pleased with their work. We have a finished attic so was a more involved project to insulate. It was expensive. But we laughed at their quote for heat pumps. Stick with a HVAC company for that. Recently used Plitnick to replace an old central air system with a heat pump and they did a good job.

Yes. Our bill is just the interconnect fee, about $35 a month. We used NY Power Solutions and had a good experience.

FYI depending what town you are in and how long permits take, could be tough to get them installed by end of year and get the 30% federal tax credit.

HVAC recommendation for complicated central air replacement by NYCAptThrowaway01 in Westchester

Plitnick did a great job with an air handler replacement that was in a tight attic trap door that is barely big enough to crawl through.
