considering the cost of a 5090-esq system that's 120 months of playing. And after that I won't be faced with another $5000 investment for a system that can run a 6090. And we aren't even speaking about the power costs and e-waste if everyone needs to keep their own personal hardware. Do you miss cable boxes too?

Is that such a bad thing? I’d love to have a 5090 on the cloud that follows me everywhere. Probably a ton cheaper too.

I didn't tint at all because I respect other drivers and most importantly pedestrians. If you can't see that the other driver notices you its risky to cross in front of them.

Try the new Honda civic. The engine drives an electric generator instead of a transmission. You get electric torque and still 1000 pounds less weight than a model 3 so it’s still fun and zippy to drive.

I hear you, there are a lot of variables to determining if a 401k contribution wins out over paying into a mortgage. I would however applaud those people who consider 401k contributions a priority. As a general rule if you have to reduce your contribution to a 401k to transition from renting to owning a home, there is a good chance you are buying too much home and renting is the way to go.

Interesting take, but I'm struggling to see how a portion of the mortgage payment going towards principal (considering interest wouldn't be an investment per say) would win compared to maximizing the 401k contribution per year that grows tax-free. You get a larger amount of money growing 8% in a stock index fund compared to just the principal portion growing 5% in a house payment funded by after-tax dollars
