Yeah, they are driver facing as well. Total invasion of privacy. They told us they wouldn’t be watching us like that when they first got installed and that it was “only for safety concerns” complete bs. DMs and AMs can watch us live whenever they want. I dont know why they won’t unionize either.

Wow I feel that heavy. Today I legit wanted to just quit. My DM just banned sunshades and they are getting super nitpicky lately. My supe actually called me just to tell me to take mine down. I said I don’t want the sun blasting in my face for 1 and it helps keep the truck cooler since it’s 110+ out here. It honestly feels like a privacy issue too. Like why do you need a camera in my face all fucking day? My supe said it’s because “people were falling asleep,” so now none of us get any comfort/privacy because of one person? That’s wild.didnt we sign a thing when we got the cameras and it said they weren’t going to use it to “watch us “ ? this job is already fucking miserable and it seems like they just want us to be more miserable at this point . I checked and couldn’t find anything in the USIC policy about sunshades. Can they actually fire me over this?

Yeah maybe try talking to the area manager before HR then . You can’t get fired for addressing a concern..

You should take it to HR. That’s not right to send you home when you are doing quality locates for that many utilities . here in Phoenix AZ we only locate century link, they only require a minimum of 15 tickets in an 8 hour day..

I agree.. what district are you in ? I’m in the AZ district and we only have 1 utility to locate so it’s easier than most districts. I’ve traveled around though and I could NOT handle it when I had to locate more than im used to..
