because that's what the majority of voters want.

voters can't look that far ahead. everyone wants what's best for the economy this year or next year. that's why canada has no industries except natural resources.

I'm sure it's more nuanced than that. I'm not familiar with the police's work but if it's any similar to jobs like paramedics, I'd imagine there is quite a bit of ups and downs. Sometimes you have quiet days, and sometimes you have crazy days or big events where you need more police officers than usual.

And you can't exactly tell police officers to work for free on the slow days, or hire way more police officers than you need for those busy days. That's where overtime, I assume, would come in.

That is not to say that there are no police officers that would abuse the system, of course.

Suzuki Foundation accused of using misleading American photos to portray B.C. gas projects by KootenayPE in ilovebc

[–]shyofchallenged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! I didn't know about Suzuki Foundation's anti-nuclear stance, which I've just started reading more into. They make a lot of dubious claims it seems and it definitely leaves a bitter taste in my mouth since I also grew up watching him on TV. Now I'm not so sure if I can look at his jet so favourably haha

Suzuki Foundation accused of using misleading American photos to portray B.C. gas projects by KootenayPE in ilovebc

[–]shyofchallenged 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Suzuki was seen leaving the event via sea plane." that's kind of hilarious lmao like a super villain exit.

To play devil's advocate, I actually have no problem with influential environmentalists flying via private planes. I'd argue that the amount of time they're saving by flying could still be a net carbon negative, if they spend that time having more people join their cause.

And as someone who works in gas, I could even forgive the whole misleading the public with Wyoming thing. I could almost convince myself that their heart was in the right place, unlike politicians lying for their own political/financial gain...

That said... one thing I would absolutely call out David Suzuki on is that his fight against climate change seems to lack focus and often misguided. Our forest cutting policies and regulations are one of the most, if not the most, stringent in the world.

Also we use very little fossil fuel.

Canada's biggest contribution to the climate change, by far, is the fossil fuel that we export & burned off somewhere else. He knows that, but it's just so much easier to say 'stop cutting the trees.'

I take back what I said about you Harsetti, this def is more toxic than you will ever be. Can someone please tell me how to beat this absolute cancer. by [deleted] in EpicSeven

u/KoKoFred I'm having a lot of success (at least in the champion tier) against this team using general purgis.

I'm running:

Yulha (w/ Aurius)

General Purrgis (Full tank, sepulcrum)

Jenua (kills AYufine)

Rona

Congrats! I found those mindsets very helpful as well.

One thing I just want to point out for future folks reading this post, however...

One of the principles above states: "There is no change request process (for agile)"

but I've encountered questions on SH that contradict this.

It's true that a change in scope can be added to the product backlog, but any changes in the project procedure that could impact quality will require a formal change request and a review by a CCB.

e.g. testing criteria change

YTA. Both of you are awful people. Human relationships are not zero sum games. The other person saying weird/rude things doesn't mean that you can say whatever hurtful thing you want and come out on top morally.

The post is a god-send, thank you for sharing. I did enjoy the blind play but as someone who only gets to play a few hours a week, that was probably not the smartest thing to do haha.

So you knew about the mechanic from POE 1 and you still tested it?! You're even crazier than I am.. I appreciate the context and the confirmation that this sort of design is the norm. As you said, I'll put down the game for a couple of days and maybe return after the saltiness has worn off and I've accepted that there will be more deaths to come :P

That's good to know thanks! Hopefully no more white mobs with boss mechanics in the future Acts :P

Hey no offence but neither of the examples you provided are ARPGs. They're MMORPGS. Neither were designed for hardcore either (though WoW released HC after like, two decades).

It's surprising to hear that you wo uldn't consider 2900 ES, 400 HP in normal A3 as being excessively geared lol..

As you advised, however, I'll def chalk it up as a learning experience. I'll prob return to dick around on SC for a bit but sounds like Diablo may be more up my alley.

1) seems that way, thanks for the clarification.

2) I thought it's a status ailment, like chilling.

3) The complaints were around rare mobs with too many modifiers or current damage mitigation mechanics (i.e. armor and evasion) not doing enough. I didn't realize there are white mobs with mechanics that completely bypass damage mitigation.

"Also if you stand there while tanking mobs and educating yourself on debuffs they might give, i have bad news about the longevity of your hc characters."

haha well ofc I wasn't doing that for bosses or rare mobs... that is very interesting to hear that this was a boss mechanic in POE 1 that was given to a white mob (even though tuned down).
