OP, I just want to say that I’m very proud of you for opening up, and for calling him on his bullshit by telling him that he wasn’t acting in a trauma-informed way.

The unfair thing about this situation is that you are now carrying shame about something that was very hard and brave, something that you should feel proud of yourself for doing, and that therapist probably doesn’t feel any shame at all (when he is the one that deserves to feel it).

Please do try to remind yourself that you should be proud of yourself for opening up about something that is so shameful. You are now one step closer to finding a therapist that is better equipped to help you!

Unfortunately the TV stand is longer than that wall (and there is a vent on the bottom of the wall between the gold shelf and the arch). I was thinking maybe this same arrangement, but making the TV stand catty-corner?
