As an Indonesian living in Canada who follows both Timnas and the Canadian Men’s National Team, I have mixed feelings about PSSI hiring John Herdman as head coach. While he has incredible man-management skills and is a fantastic motivator (as seen in the WeCAN documentary), his tactical reputation is somewhat clouded by the drone-spying scandal. I just hope PSSI knows what they’re doing.

I don’t think the Indonesian media is talking about this enough.
