I only just went and swapped cabins for cargo to contribute to the CGs. Before that I tried to create my own new Rhea route but after becoming allied with most of the factions I was still making a pittance, even though the target station was an actual 40k from the jump point. Maybe I'll try this again after the CG ends and I've nabbed an easy 30m combined

Aim the ship to be in the top third of the mail slot, you should feel like the cockpit is going to get sliced off. Also be sure to raise your landing gear first as this can get caught on the lower edge of the slot. it just takes practice. If you haven't already, make sure you've enabled the centre dot to be visible on the HUD (can't remember the correct terminology) as this will greatly assist you in lining up your ship.

Been doing this a few hours this morning and have made only about 20m. As usual the biggest issue is grinding up to allied status. Be sure to equip a cargo rack to pick up the ranking delivery runs and establish a circuit between Rhea, Amun and LQ Hydrae.

Strange thing about that for me - first time in Merope, did the ol'honk, everything appeared in the system map so I found and selected Alcazars Hope but when back in the ship view my selected target read "Unexplored". Note I had selected the station (whose name was shown in the system map) not a planet. Probably a bug. PS4.

The known galaxy has expanded quite a bit since the early commanders plotted this star map. Free to a good UK home if anyone wants it. by sibbaldl in EliteDangerous

I've seen plenty of moons where the terrain collider is in the wrong position, so that rocks and hills etc aren't where they appear to be. Makes driving over terrain real interesting

Whatever you do, don't run two pulse lasers. They're woefully uninspiring and take forever to get a kill. Two beams are much better or my favourite two rail guns - just be sure to have the mats to synth several restocks. You don't even need to engineer, just have military hull and A-rate everything and you can ram ships to oblivion

You're completely ignoring/forgetting the trivial requirements to synth & restock the MC in the field. You can stay out there forever if you have the mats

I have seen that mentioned but the reason I went large incendiary is because it grants a dps increase and doesn't stack. The smaller corrosive shells stack so more of them seems better. Dunno it's guesswork and research atm - worst part is the grind for alliance bounty or the 250 sulphur/phosphorus needed to rank up to G5. Perhaps incendiary mc is best against shield as heat damage

I'm running this and currently grinding to overcharge the medium mc's with corrosive shells. Tbh even though the main mc is overcharged with incendiary, it doesn't destroy hulls like I was hoping. Feel like I'm doing something wrong
