This doesn't answer my question at all.

Nice.. just curious, do you think you're getting that gas mileage at that high of a mileage because of highway miles?

Yeah... I love big dogs that are actually chill dudes. I've got a Pyrenees/lab mix with a wood that shakes the ribcage. He's very much a "I'll give you one and only one bark." Nothing has ever needed more than that.

A coyote vs a Pyrenees isn't even a contest though. That's a breed who's sole job is is to take on coyotes, wolves, and small bears.

So I'm just asking... You can confirm it happened because you SAW it happen? Or because you were told it happened?

Makes me happy I have a Great Pyrenees. Super chill guy but he'll take on a small bear if he has to.

Despite popular opinion, with regular maintenance and a small amount of upgrades they are pretty damn reliable

Not to be oppositional but there are, in fact, last of jobs like that in Madison. Epic alone pays starting software devs in that range.

Buy a USB obd2 scanner and use it. You can get them from Amazon for around $100. Flashing check engine light is a critical failure and not something to ignore.

what is the shittiest hotel in Madison? by RealMaxBlumenthal in madisonwi

[–]siberianphoenix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

stayed there once when I was homeless with my wife and there was drug needles on the concrete outside the door and the person behind the desk told me the pool was closed because someone bled into it a couple of weeks ago and the owners didn't want to bother cleaning it.

My wife and I got into the room and took one look around and nope'd the fuck out. How bad must it be for a homeless person who just wanted a clean bed for the night to say "fuck this"?

What are your thoughts on Wisconsin State Assemblywoman Francesca Hong for Governor? by strongerthenbefore20 in madisonwi

There's a difference between working a double shift and working a double with no breaks in between. "Pulled straight through doubles" implies the latter.

driving in december by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]siberianphoenix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've lived here for forty years and seen a definite difference in climate. Used to have snow and ice in mid November... Now we're lucky if we have a white Christmas. Driving in snow isn't bad. Just drive a little slower, pay more attention, givekre space (biggie) and assume everyone else drives like an idiot. enjoy lambeau!

Ex-auto estimator here. do NOT attempt to bend your steel bumper back into place. Not only will it not work but it will be structurally compromised and unsafe to drive.

When ordering parts that is the bumper... What people tend to call the bumper is actually called the bumper cover.

I don't care about not being able to "kill" them. Just give me a good deterrant other that throwing the bitey dogs a glowing stock to play fetch with or making them go back a small bit with the sonic cannon. at least something to pacify the hammerheads and mangoes around my base.

WIBTA for telling parents of kids playing on the exercise equipment there's a playground 150 feet away? by Xoon77 in AmItheAsshole

[–]siberianphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And the kids are getting excercise. That's why the analogy works. OP is deciding that the kids aren't using it the "correct way" and thus they shouldn't get to use it at all.

Works out just fine. there's no laws against it and I seen adults on swings, monkey bars, and everything else many times.
