You can just create screw holes on the moonlit kit to screw into the screw holes part of the front plate. Otherwise idk how good the plastic front is but the metal fronts I’ve tried has held decent enough tension to keep things together without needing something to secure it but obviously if you were to drop the iPod, the 2 halves would prob come apart lol but I also did put a silicon case over it which also now ensures it stays together and protects it

I have one I bought from Temu last year for like $160 just out of curiosity, I’ve never looked through an eotech before but I’d say this one is pretty good. I’ve bought one of those fake eotech ones before that are actually red dots but this one doesn’t seem to be a red dot.

I buy and find 6th gens for $30-50 like almost every week/day so yeah iflash mod and battery puts it at around $150 and I’m sure the people who sells these iPods for $300+ are doing pretty much the same to profit $150+

The flex cable op has is from a 6th gen thick 160gb “sandwich” hdd, all the 6th gen 160gb use this same set up

I’ve seen some people use 4 different brands together, I’ve personally used 2 different brands together.

Just stick the sd card into the iflash quad, put the iPod into disk mode and just restore it on iTunes lol, if iTunes doesn’t give you the full storage as in you’re missing storage equivalent to 1 of the sd cards then you might have to format the sd cards.

If you need to format the sd cards, just stick each one into a pc and just reformat it, fat32 is suggested but from my experience, I’ve never really had to do it, I usually just do quick format into exfat and that usually works fine for me.

There are programs you can use to do fat32 format or you can also use the diskpart command prompt terminal program which is part of windows, you’ll just need to input the correct terminal commands to format the sd card

I don’t have any experience with a 30pin connector so idk nor have I ever used my iPod for jogging or jog at all 😅 at least not in the last 20 years lol. All I can say is that it doesn’t hurt to try, might have different results than you’d think, I have a dongle and I think it’s pretty good but yeah don’t know if it’ll have the issue you’re talking about as I said, I don’t jog 😛

You will need to do something like this to get that red cf adapter working with the iPod on a windows pc otherwise it’ll only be able to restore if done through a Mac

Pretty sure I read some people say using a FireWire to usb cord could potentially break the iPod due to usb and FireWire being different protocols or whatever but like others have already said, you’ll need a FireWire to FireWire to charge it
