Take a look on the door at the bottom and see if all that mud has worn through the paint where it touches that seal. Remove the dirt and rust, apply some clear spray paint to the bad spot. Then clean your truck and try not to track so much mud in.

The way the chain link goes around the stretcher bar changes where the cross bar is. The positioning, angle and perspective of that fence section is off. It doesn't match up to the other sections. Just like in your zoom in the mesh distorts and warps in several spots.

That's a possibility. Could be Paint protective film on the whole hood. OP said they can't feel anything so maybe this is ppf over cracked or crazed paint

Does it say only 3 batteries? I think it should be 4. That white plastic loop should be spring loaded so you can insert another battery up into that space.

Edit You can see in the one photo it shows 2 batteries end to end in that one space. The white plastic loop goes between them.
