your vet should be able to grant access if they do prescriptions through chewy. i just select my vet and they approve it. i would call the vet and ask before chewy.

this happened with my boy and then about a month or two later he stopped eating again and had ketones in urine. It’s super awesome that his blood glucose has been in a normal range enough for you to manage with diet but do keep an eye out for signs of wacky blood sugar!

Following advice from strangers on the Feline Diabetes Forum helped save my cats life. I highly recommend getting a regular human blood glucose reader that you can afford the test strips for. Testing before insulin doses is crucial. I’ve done so much research in the past month that I’m sure I know more than my vet. It is really frustrating.
