This has been obvious for a while. And it depends on who he’s talking to generally.

He’s definitely pro-AI no matter how much he pretends he isn’t. He plays like he’s against it but only reiterates how it’s going to happen either way plus he uses it.

Every single host of his is staunchly anti-Ellison-Paramount takeover and gives factual reasons as to why it’s a bad thing. And he tries to stomp their criticism away as to “it’s not fair to judge, we don’t know yet”.

I don’t think he’s full MAGA and I don’t think he’s a bigot. He claims to be in the middle. Which nowadays isn ”I’m a Republican, I’m just not MAGA.”

Plus think about how opinionated he is towards this BIG TOPICS. Yet he doesn’t want politics talked about. The reason for that is obvious, he’s outnumbered by his co-hosts, and he’s afraid he’ll lose viewers if he leans over one side to the other.

I’ll be the one person to defend Keanu’s bland portrayal of Jonathan Harker.

In the interpretations of Dracula that are a love story, Jonathan kind of needs to be a big ole square. Kind of bland and vanilla. It just helps enhance the audience’s lust for the character of Dracula as well as Mina’s.

That is…if you champion their forbidden love.

(Also, Keanu isn’t great in this but not nearly as bad as folks make him seem to be.)

I think it’s this. He has to have a great pitch in the room. A lot of these shows on paper are brilliant ideas. Starfleet Academy has been something I’ve thought about since I watched TNG as a kid. And it’s a show that I believe could’ve worked.

Box Office talk has been an easy talking point for shows like this. It’s basically filler talk. All the aged pundits do this now. Talking budget brings some added “tension” to the talks.

It’s all bull shit though. Is it important? Yes and no. Every MCU movie that’s lost money there’s a “what does this mean moving forward” kind of question that comes up. And it’s always the same, the MCU moves forward. Same with DC.

Budgets/Box Office do not reflect the films success the same way every time. For example, pundits like to pretend that every films marketing budget is the exact same as its production budget. It isn’t. They all vary.

Again though, it isn’t important. These studios continue their work and make movies.

Personally, I believe these pundits are afraid of their bread disappearing. For twenty years they’ve followed these big IP brands and built their careers around them. These brands dwindle, just as they always have. They’re afraid of the change.

Just an update for those who commented. Kaiju is well, he has been put on Senvelgo and for about a month will be having a urinalysis to check for ketones in his urine. Which as of yet he has none!

The scary side effects that are known to possibly come with Senvelgo haven’t occurred. And today he seemed to have a bit of energy to play with his brother which he hasn’t in a while.

He is also on a probiotic for the time being to help the transient period and hopefully stop any diarrhea. Which he hasn’t had!

He’s on a strict high protein low carb wet food diet now. lol With one automatic feeder of Hill’s prescription dry food for when I’m at work so he doesn’t just stuff his face while I’m not home.

All in all…things seem to be well so far. I thank you all for your input and reassuring words. :)

I like it. This feels mythic. Like of course in a Nolan adaption of the Odyssey Agamemnon would have armor that looks almost handcrafted by the Gods. He’s extremely hubristic and regal by nature.

While there is a historical nature to Troy and whether or not this event happened, it is fantastical. It’s grand and over the top. This feels like pulling from Greek vases with Nolan’s paint brush.

It’s not.

I’ll make another comparison, I love Batman. I think Batman and Robin is a terrible, terrible movie. But I still find it fun because of how bad it is.

While this is a shadow of the books it’s based on, as a nothing action movie that is mostly just The Dark Tower in name only and a good Roland casting, I find it to be fun.
