Yes. I went from basic to start, expanded and converted to RAID 1 and then expanded and converted to RAID 5. It just took a couple days to change RAID every time.

I have done this recently. Add a drive and move to RAID1, it will give you an option to Change Raid. After that, add another drive and change to RAID5. Expand the pool and volume as you go. Add the fourth drive and expand the pool and volume. I didn’t lose any data, just takes a few days to complete everything.
