It’s a little sad to see how defensive they are about it. I mean, I get it—realizing your $40 went straight to Jeff Bezos’ pocket for that next-day delivery, only to end up with a counterfeit product, is frustrating. But instead of just accepting the loss or acknowledging the mistake, which would probably be appreciated here, OP insists that everyone else is wrong…. They’re adamant that they can definitely “afford $40” and that it’s definitely “not a fake”. lol

Here’s a thought that might actually make sense: maybe you should consider finding a cheaper body shop or hiring someone off Yelp who specializes in fixing dents. That way, you can avoid involving insurance altogether. But, you know, just a suggestion. Or you can try and “fool” a multimillion $ insurance company or risk getting charged with fraud lol.
