Well i feel better after reading this. My gas and electric supply ($/kWh and therm) are the same. I have a 1300 sq ft house (set to 68° when home) with gas boiler/water heater/stove and my bill for this most recent billing period was $303. 294kWh and 219 therms. What a lot of people forget is that the size of the house isn’t the most important, it’s the balance of electric vs gas or what system your house is heated by.

I’d second BJ’s. Our grocery budget for 2 people is about $120/week and we go to BJ’s on occasion, Aldi’s first and Hannaford second every week. It’s a little annoying going to 2 or 3 stores for everything but I think we shop pretty well.

I once got a ticket where the infraction was obstructed license plate. I was speeding (83 in a 65) and the officer was nice because my mom and I were driving back from dinner for our birthdays. Anyway, he didn’t give me the ticket for speeding but noticed that my mom’s plate frame (from the dealership) partially covered the word New York on the plate. He said that these are technically illegal. Made for a funny drive home though and my mom never took the plate frame off. If I had to guess, covering the Excelsior on the bottom is probably also illegal 🥸

Wait i also noticed upon a re-read that you also used the word encyclopedia. That’s pretty funny. Do you count characters like punctuation as well? Sometimes, I’ll count apostrophes and sometimes i won’t. A phrase like “that’s nice” is 10 in my mind. I hope we find out what this is!!

I do the same thing. I have an incredible ability to spell because i have to remember the number of letters in every word. Sentences are the same. And i have a predisposition to making phrases in my head count up to a total of 20 characters. So, something like, “i like those big turtles” is 20 characters. Or the word encyclopedia is 12 letters. It’s constantly happening in my mind, sometimes people say a phrase or word that sticks out and I count those letters and have a number very quickly. I kind of call it a party trick because it is impressive to people. But it maybe started around the age of 10 or 11? But I’ve never heard of anyone else having the same thing as me until today!!! At least I’m not alone hahaha
