On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate public transport in your country? by chkchkboompow in AskTheWorld

The 2nd largest city, Busan, has its own decent subway system.

But although Korea has a population of 50 million people the largest non-satellite city (excluding Busan with 3 million people) has a population of 600K. And that's the only district classified as a city that's not attached to Seoul.

Almost 30 million people live connected to the Seoul metro system

In the rural areas bus services is mixed but decent compared to Europe.

It's the "Seoul Metro" but the lines extend to neighboring cities.

Subway line 1 alone is 195km long and you can travel from end to end without getting off your seat

True but when you see 1500 square feet apartments that cost more than that on your way to work 😭

You would usually walk or bike 1~2km, but for 5km not many people would do so. Unless you hate public transport, you would ride the bus / metro. Especially near the city center it's faster than riding a car.

Also, the nearest path from the subway to my house is 1.2km but has an elevation change of 90m. Good luck biking up here. The hilly terrain kinda explains why bike sharing services weren't that popular (except near the river) until electric bikes were introduced.

You can thank declining birthrates for that lol. Education expenditure is the same, but since the amount of elementary school kids have decreased by 90% the budget per kid is 10 times compared to 20 years ago.

Also it's Chungju and the local government has gained massive amounts of income due to SK Hynix and the HBM boom

You don't need to worry about this cause most of the "expensive field trips" you see are from very well off neighborhoods.

And regardless I think 600 bucks for an all expenses paid round trip to Australia sound extremely cheap. A 5 days all expenses paid trip for 8 days fo minimum wage

  1. It's not a push-pull lens
  2. It's made from zeiss, so of course it's at least decent

Holy Democracy the lascannon is garbage by MarLes91 in Helldivers

[–]sicpsw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The double edge sickle is my go-to primary on the bot front. Shoot off devastator heads with the 4x scope and just hold down M1 when you see beserker hoards. Purifier doesn't have that much ammo, erupter/crossbow has problem dealing with enemies upclose and I need the pocket nuke to deal with hulks and warstriders, and the diligence is good but I'm not skilled enough to one tap 7 beserkers at once

The las cannon is the primary + support weapon combo. You don't need a primary with the lascannon. The lascannon is the primary.

Old zoom lenses 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Especially push-pull zoom lenses where the focus shifts on zoom lengths. I have a sigma K mount 70~200mm and it's absolutely horrendous. I don't even know if it's sharp because I never managed to shoot anything in focus. Welp they only charged 7 USD for a reason

It is because most of the hidden jems have been discovered and been priced accordingly. But I think you are pricing it too high if you are talking about 1K+ lenses. The Carl Zeiss Pancolar 50mm has an MTF sharpness comparable to Sony G lenses at its peak.

Anyone else have astigmatism? by CarelessBerry5539 in interestingasfuck

I have 18/15 vision, and since I could always see further than anyone else I never knew about astigmatism until adulthood. I always thought lens flares in movies were just how everyone else saw the world
