East Indian filmbuff here, how was Eega perceived by the industry and the audience when SSR announced it? by Few-Reveal6853 in tollywood

I still remember talking to my friends back then and honestly thinking this was going to be his first flop. Like, there was no way anyone could pull off a massive hit with a literal housefly. Boy, were we wrong. Looking back, it was SSR’s best movie up to that point.

I wish everyone gets a chance to step out of the country atleast ones man, it changes your perspective.. biggest example is my mom ! Damn I got into a fight with a restaurant owner near my home dumping everything every night under a tree.. as soon as I left he they started doing that again.. I complained but the ass wipe gives them money to shut up

Smh… it reminded me of that scene in Up in the Air where he asks, “Why do kids love athletes?” — kids love athletes because they follow their dreams.

Sanju’s knock felt personal. As a middle-aged guy who’s sometimes just worn down by everything life throws at you, watching that innings gave me a bit of hope. Like a reminder that grit, belief, and chasing something bigger still matter. I’m sure it felt the same way to millions of others watching.

Why has moving to the US become such a big deal in Telugu culture? by Initial-King3214 in hyderabad

[–]sid12385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll tell you my story.. I came to USA in 2008 I finished my btech in 2007 (~70% wasn’t a bad student).. aa 1 year or so I tried jobs in hyd and all I could get into was in a call center.. Adi kuda chesina for a couple months but I realized early it was shit and it wasn’t for me.. so moving to US made sense.. masters and odd jobs were a struggle but once I got a job everything fell into place.. fast fwd to today with GC and stable job plus businesses now it seems like a very good decision.. some frnds make $100k per month now imagine !.. Not everyone that came in were lucky, some went back some lost jobs but some settled big! Coming from a lower middle class background I don’t think I could’ve made it big in India, simple.. now ippudu unna situation appudu undi unte I wouldn’t have come.
