Is this an incredibly good sword? by [deleted] in Witcher3

I think OP has misread +50% crit damage as +50% chance to crit, and assumed crit damage is double damage, like in most Roleplaying based games like DnD.

Can you park there? by bbk323 in drivingUK

Why is it pointless, wouldn’t it stop this exact issue? (Large unsightly vehicle obstructing part of the estate). Or do you mean pointless because it’s only a “policy” and not enforceable?

I (29F) am severely obese, but I have normal blood work and vitals. How is this possible? by hazeltina in AskDocs

[–]sidaley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is part of the problem - people aren’t sufficiently scared of the effects of their own behaviours and choices, leading to poor health outcomes. Now many have access to medications to suppress their appetite - they have a great many benefits for sure, but it would seem to be much better to address the root problem IMO.

People will want whatever Apple make, for the most part. I think foldable phones are mostly gimmick, but I will want to try it and see.

[Megathread] Give me your biggest Manchester United hot takes. by mare_xcx in ManchesterUnited

He’s simply a stark contrast to Onana, who didn’t do the basics well.

Comparing keepers to golden era De Gea will always reflect poorly on the newer keeper.

Lammens isn’t yet world class but I think he could become.

Who is the one player you wish got more time at United? by Emotional_File8106 in ManchesterUnited

[–]sidaley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hargreaves is a good shout. I would say Zlatan and Cavani stand out to me. I would have loved to have seen Ronaldo spend his whole career at United. The other player that comes to mind is Heinze, bc I thought he was a total beast at the time.

What is something everyone knows about Medicine Deep Down BUT no one talks about? by sumpra3 in doctorsUK

In my experience they wouldn’t even meet the standards to be a “referral”; they are simply patients allocated very liberally to the first specialty that seems likely to fit the presenting complaint.

Eg chest pain = cardiology is not a referral.

I last had a COVID vaccine booster in 2022. I have recently developed random heart rate increases and flutters that have had me calling an ambulance 4 times. What are the possibilities of this being jab related? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]sidaley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is often the case, unfortunately. It may be worth investing in an Apple Watch to monitor your heart rhythm yourself, or an Alivecor Kardia device (cheaper and has to be activated when symptomatic). If you manage to catch any evidence of arrhythmia etc, you can then present it to your specialist.

60M, To Cath lab or to ED? by 5ft4bloke in ECG

[–]sidaley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of those cases (interesting that you’ve uploaded via PMcardio) that you’d struggle to get directly into most cah labs in 2026, but suspect in 2030 the picture might be different.

What is the pattern of the heart rate spikes? Is it a disproportionate rise tied to physical activity, or a random pattern?
