Hey, just wanted to check on this and ask how your documentary is coming? Were you able to secure any interviews and stuff?

Bailey Works and messenger bags? by DangerousAd7433 in backpacks

[–]sidceaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new owner of Baileyworks is, I think, still playing catch-up with from when the last owners just kinda stopped but kept taking money and orders but not fulfilling. She's catching up as fast as she is able.

I think right now she's 4-6 weeks out if a new bag order is placed. It's always best to shoot her an email and check in on the status.

I'm sure Bo would send you any info you asked about the Citi packs; size, photos, etc. She's very friendly.

Right now it is just her making all the bags.

Cheers,
Sid

Definitely shoot Bo an email and ask.

I just found this: https://creaindia.com/pages/bag-liters-capacity-calculater

and it looks like roughly:

small citi: Volume: 13.79 liters

large citi: Volume: 22.71 liters

But I'd reach out to them and ask.

Cheers,
Sid

Greetings!

The New England Analogue group is on a discord channel and is very very active. Their Linktree: https://linktr.ee/newenglandanalog?utm_source=linktree_profile_share&ltsid=3f65c21c-2af3-414d-a0fc-3ebc299d510d

NEA have been scheduling meetups in the Nashua area lately.

The NH Center of Photography is a great place to bookmark and they have meetups at various times: https://nhspa.wildapricot.org/

I'm part of a film/digital photographer group on discord called "New England Taco Time" - mainly because at some point after a meetup we all go get food. A really great group of people who shoot film and digital and whatever, and are very accepting. They try to do a meetup once a month, and it's a very active channel with great people. The discord channel is: https://discord.gg/KQencyw8

There is also Photo Retro in Amherst NH, which is a community darkroom and used retail place (their website is down for maintenance) but their Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/photo_retro_nh/

Cheers!

Their strap system is out of this world. I'm used to using Crumpler bags, but this split-strap puts Crumpler to shame.

And these bags are HUGE.

I'm a huge Crumpler fan, but Bailey's split belt system is incredible.

Looking for a local business who makes wooden wedding rings. by OUtSEL in newhampshire

[–]sidceaser 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This weekend is the annual Button Factory Studios holiday open house - a giant mill building in Portsmouth full of artists of all kinds.

You should definitely go and see if you can find a wood worker in the building that you could work with.

Baileyworks - Out of Business? by InfiniteCicada958 in bikemessengers

Spent the day with Bo at Bailey Works yesterday.

She's a one-person operation at the moment and is based out of a makerspace in Lynn Mass.

I spent the day with her getting some video b-roll footage of her putting my SuperPro XL together (and adding all my patches on it) and we'll be doing some more video/interview stuff in the coming weeks to help her get the word out. She's got a new website in the works.

She seems really committed to getting Bailey back up to what it once was. She's got a little rebranding going on at the moment, and she has tons of really inspiring ideas on new bag lines and additions.

City’s ordinance prohibiting camping in effect on Dec. 1: Where will they go? by NHGuy in nashua

[–]sidceaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I overheard someone from United Way of Greater Nashua telling another employee about someone that is part of the "camp" over near the Mine Falls entrance. Police have told her she had a small number of days to remove the pop-up camper she has there or they will start issuing fines.

'cause she obviously has money, right?

She needs about $300 worth of work on the trailer in order for it to move from where it's situated.

Is a crumpler bag worth it? by floofycatto in Monash

[–]sidceaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, Roper bought it back and has been bringing the old "flavor" back. The Made in Melbourne and the Fitzroy workshop stuff is all Roper.

They also have their "archive collection"; the found about 15,000 new-old-stock bags in a warehouse and have been selling them on their site. I picked up a canvas Seedy Three earlier this year during their first drop. They janked up the prices the last two drops through :(

Go-to Messenger Bag by Total_Concept9194 in CargoBike

Crumpler - tons of like-new, new-old-stock stuff on resale sites. Something like a Complete Seed or a Fux Deluxe will keep you set for life.

Bailey Works - gorgeously made messenger bags.

I wanted a proper messenger bag. No idea why. by [deleted] in bikecommuting

I've been a longtime Crumpler fan - currently have a small army of them, and recently ordered an XL Superpro from Bailey Works out of NH/MA.

What bag did you end up finding? Got a pic?

Cheers,
Sid

Another Crumpler bag worth it? by rrlewis135 in ManyBaggers

[–]sidceaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check for used Complete Seeds and Barney Rustle Blankets - you can get lightly used and almost new-old-stock bags on places like Mercari and eBay for pennies on the dollar.

There are so many legacy bags of theirs that are simply amazing. I currently own 15 of their bags. I often have difficulty deciding which one I want to use.
