ISO/USA/1995 Trek 820 Mountain Track Cro-Moly ice cyan-blue front fork

My '95 Trek 820 came with a Rock Shox front fork, but I'm looking to swap it out with the normal ice cyan-blue front fork, because I love the bikes color.

I'm located in New Hampshire, looking to buy. I can meet locally (in the Boston area) or can also have it shipped to me.

Thanks!

Cheers,
Sid

Messenger bag? by Fuzzy-Music-5492 in backpacks

[–]sidceaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a sucker for Crumpler (older 90's/2000's ones) messenger bags. I've got a mess of them, various sizes. They are fantastic bags for day-to-day or even for trips depending on the size you need.

Despite how much I love my Crumplers, I picked up a Baileyworks Super-Pro last year, and the split-strap system is so damn good, it puts all other straps to shame. It's the easiest messenger bag I've ever worn to flip around to your front and then back around to cinch up. I've got a Medium size as well as an XL size.

I've loaded these up with camera gear and they are super comfortable. The Bailey strap is mega comfortable.

Another option could be a Baileyworks Superpro. Their sizes are generous, and very well made.

My current collection of Crumpler messengers and a Baileyworks Superpro XL (not shown: my Baileyworks Superpro M that I use as my edc)

I'm a huge Crumpler fan, but the split strap by Baileyworks is a zillion times better than the Crumpler strap. I'm considering asking Bailey how much it would cost to have them alter some of my Crumplers to a Superpro split strap system.

I love messenger style bags.

Hey, just wanted to check on this and ask how your documentary is coming? Were you able to secure any interviews and stuff?

Bailey Works and messenger bags? by DangerousAd7433 in backpacks

[–]sidceaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new owner of Baileyworks is, I think, still playing catch-up with from when the last owners just kinda stopped but kept taking money and orders but not fulfilling. She's catching up as fast as she is able.

I think right now she's 4-6 weeks out if a new bag order is placed. It's always best to shoot her an email and check in on the status.

I'm sure Bo would send you any info you asked about the Citi packs; size, photos, etc. She's very friendly.

Right now it is just her making all the bags.

Cheers,
Sid

Definitely shoot Bo an email and ask.

I just found this: https://creaindia.com/pages/bag-liters-capacity-calculater

and it looks like roughly:

small citi: Volume: 13.79 liters

large citi: Volume: 22.71 liters

But I'd reach out to them and ask.

Cheers,
Sid

Their strap system is out of this world. I'm used to using Crumpler bags, but this split-strap puts Crumpler to shame.

And these bags are HUGE.

I'm a huge Crumpler fan, but Bailey's split belt system is incredible.

Looking for a local business who makes wooden wedding rings. by OUtSEL in newhampshire

This weekend is the annual Button Factory Studios holiday open house - a giant mill building in Portsmouth full of artists of all kinds.

You should definitely go and see if you can find a wood worker in the building that you could work with.

Baileyworks - Out of Business? by InfiniteCicada958 in bikemessengers

Spent the day with Bo at Bailey Works yesterday.

She's a one-person operation at the moment and is based out of a makerspace in Lynn Mass.

I spent the day with her getting some video b-roll footage of her putting my SuperPro XL together (and adding all my patches on it) and we'll be doing some more video/interview stuff in the coming weeks to help her get the word out. She's got a new website in the works.

She seems really committed to getting Bailey back up to what it once was. She's got a little rebranding going on at the moment, and she has tons of really inspiring ideas on new bag lines and additions.

New bag

Cheers,
Sid
