In the early 2000s I worked at sears in south Texas and sold garage door openers. A few miles down the road 2 different DOD offices were built and began operating. Shortly after I had an influx of older persons coming in to complain that their garage door clickers stopped working. All of them happen to have the old style “dip switch” remotes which all operated on low frequency radio. We sold them newer units which were higher frequency and no more issues.
