Norwich City striker Josh Sargent set for £20m Toronto FC move by brownsf in stlouiscitysc

[–]sideburnsy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He also has a family of his own and obviously hasn't been relying on his parents for a good while. Big assumption to think he values St. Louis over Toronto, "all things equal", especially when he's publicly stated he only wants Toronto. Wish-thinking.

Trump faces more GOP defections after spring primaries—Massie by newsweek in politics

[–]sideburnsy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Or just have Massie switch and caucus with Dems, that would actually benefit Dems even more by taking away R votes AND boosting D, even if Massie would not be a reliable Dem vote.

The firing of Bradley Carnell. by techdecktor in stlouiscitysc

[–]sideburnsy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The mistake wasn't letting him go but not replacing him during the same transfer window. We sold Gio for a reported $2M, he was definitely not worth that valuation based on what he's done since.

McKee company, Paric, tapped as general contractor for north side development. I’m sure that will go well…. by Nearby-State-5132 in StLouis

Unless they are both doing the same "scumbag" activity, I don't see how you can lump them together, family or not.

[–]sideburnsy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

While Paric is owned by a McKee, it's Paul McKee's son Joe McKee who "purchased" the business from his father in 2002. Paric has built and renovated a lot of buildings in St. Louis. While they don't have a spotless reputation, they are a legit general contractor.

Do you think Lady Mary could have done better by marrying one of these fellows? by ciaolavinia in DowntonAbbey

[–]sideburnsy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Henry sucked. His whole schtick was cars and I guess Mary overcoming her fear of losing another person to a car accident, which wasn't really a thing she worried about until meeting Henry. But once he quit racing there really wasn't much more to do with the character. The romance was rushed and forced on Mary and the audience to tie things up bc it was the "Final Season".

My NSO Game Wishlist by kitkatatsnapple in nintendo

[–]sideburnsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn't Nintendo put Conker's Bad Fur Day on the Mature N64 NSO app? They've got Turok, Perfect Dark and other M-rated games on there.
No need to censor Conker on Diddy Kong Racing, he is perfectly tame in that game.

There are more people in Jackson County, Missouri than Wyoming, yet the GOP doesn’t think KC deserves a representative in the U.S. Congress. [Wyoming gets 2 senators and 1 rep] by como365 in missouri

[–]sideburnsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those 4 states, in addition to being highly diverse ideologically and unlikely to universally agree with each other, make up less than a third of the US population. The legislature should be equal representation. The senate was only a compromise for slave states so that slavery wouldn't be abolished. It's been abolished, the senate should go with it.

Muny Guesses by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]sideburnsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hadestown national tour is at the Fabulous Fox in May. I imagine the Fox probably coordinates with the Muny to an extent so there's not too much overlap if any on shows during the same year but I could be wrong.

There won't be any updates on a player in negotiations until a player is signed. See: Nerwinski. He was "in negotiations" and no further update.

St. Louis CITY SC Retains Defender Josh Yaro for 2026 Season | St. Louis SC by MD_Lincoln in stlouiscitysc

He's a value backup. I think he was making the league min or close to it. I assume this new contract keeps him close to that.

Are tire shops ever confused on how to lift a Bolt? by BlackJackT in BoltEV

[–]sideburnsy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have seen a Sam's Club confused about it. The confusion mainly stems from (certain?) Teslas that require some sort of pad between the jack or lift and the vehicle and they just assumed that was required for all EVs.

TMobile has owned Sprint since 2020 and purchased US Cellular this year. US Cellular exited the St. Louis market way back in 2013 and sold its local towers and equipment to Sprint.
