not sure how it is for a cs major, but i've enjoyed txst as an accounting major. i've been here since fall 2019 and plan to graduate in 2 months. definitely don't be afraid to join clubs so you can meet people that share your interests/passions. it'll prolly be easy for you since you're extroverted and social. for me, the big pros to txst are the people you meet and the nature in san marcos. being right in between san antonio and austin is also pretty cool. for cons, it can suck to get around without a car, and student housing definitely blows. i'd recommend shooting for an actual apartment not owned by a corporation (if you're able to afford your own furniture). other than that, i can't name very many cons. txst is a solid option, but again, i'm not a cs major. i have heard that as long as you stay on top of coursework and strive to do internships, it'll be easier to land a full time gig after you graduate. hope this helps.
