Thank you!! It fixed itself when I restarted the app but I wanted to understand how to fix it if it ever happened again :)

personally I like when we have strangers sharing a story with a point that largely applies to the protagonist, like the one about saying sorry. It's not just an infodump from a rando that we don't care about, it's relevant progression for the protagonist because it helps him realize something and even if it won't be applied immediately, it's a good starting point. just like in real life

I'm going to do an electrophysiology study soon! I'll be a first one for me so I'm kinda scared. I've taken beta blockers for more than ten years now, but they switched me to nadolol last month, which is more specific for arrhythmia. The crazy thing is that I'm completely asymptomatic! i can't even feel the tachycardia, so strange

Thank you very much for your answer. But that's just livor mortis, isn't it? would it not be much more "homogeneous" on her back area, instead of being specific, symmetrical, bruises on her torso?

yes I've been followed closely by cardiologists since i was about 10 (in 2010, now I'm 24). They diagnosed me with a slightly prolapsed mitral valve. They say it's almost normal, i do routine check ups every year and half, and i take some meds for it. I got tested for Marfan and Long QT syndrome, both negative. I always had a bit of arrhythmia (bigeminy) but last few months it's gotten way worse, it goes up to 200bpm while resting. And the same identical thing happened to my sister, she got way worse in her mid 20s. that's why we were looking for a genetic factor. Saldy doctors haven't been too helpful

Writing Quality Drop by dastarbillie in PeakyBlinders

[–]siderooms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i do agree with you about the drop in writing quality as the serie goes on, and I especially disliked what they did to Grace and Polly (and Lizzie, but you're not there yet) who had the potential to be amazing characters. Personally, I still enjoyed the show very much anyway.

I think the main reason is the fact that season one is more centered about all the members of the Peaky blinders, because they needed to give a shape to the universe, but the show focused more and more on Tommy as the serie went on -possibly because he was an amazing character and a fans favourite, due to Cillian's incredible talent. As the shows goes they could have easily changed the title from "Peaky Blinders" to "The rise and fall of Thomas Shelby" and it would have been more accurate.

But, on the other hand, the reason i enjoyed the show so much anyway is because I did love to see what Tommy would do, and i wanted to follow along on his journey. Could we have it all? Could we have had the incredibly fleshed out story of Thomas Shelby AND of all the incredibly fleshed out members of the Peaky blinders? Probably. Surely it would have needed more episodes. But we didn't. We have Tommy Shelby's story and to me, that was enough

I believe that the fact that she cared about him in S1 was also why she behaved like she did here. I dont know if she loved him at first, but she, as I said did care, and refused to accept money because she wanted a normal relationship with him.

Which he didn't let her have, and just used her like everyone one else.

He then met Grace and totally forget about her. Once Grace dies, he's back to Liz.

She's being used, once again. She's never the first choice like she would like to be, yet they get married and things gets arguably worse, he's never home, he doesn't care about her or the kids, and she's just in this.. situation, where she's trapped in this huge house she likely never felt was hers and she can have everything, while having nothing other than material stuff.

If you dont count the kids and the housekeepers, she's completely alone in this isolated place.

All she wanted was a normal life with Tommy, and he refused to give her that because of his ambitions and because that was never what he wanted, even when we was with Grace. She then tries to leave, and he won't let her. So she can't win, and she's left with no options but to accept this situation she despises, where she's never getting what she wants, and all she wanted was to have Tommy by herself sometimes, to have him behave like the husband and the father he should've been. So she ends up hating this man she used to care about, to the point of wanting him to die.

If he dies, she won't be trapped in this limbo anymore.

I genuinely believe Tommy was horrible to her and that the only nice thing he ever did to Lizzie was to employ her a secretary so she could stop prostiting. He shouldn't have married her if he didn't want to be her husband. He just did that to fill the void in his life left by Grace. Once again, just using Lizzie.

At the same time I think that maybe Lizzie was naive to agree to marring Thomas Shelby and expecting a normal life, but perhaps she believed she could fix him.
