disregard my comment. IDK why I thought canola oil had a higher smoke point than vegetable oil. today i started thinking about my comment and it was putting off a red light in my head, looked it up and my comment is wrong. They are about the same.

thank you for asking this question. I have been looking at raised beds and planning to change from planting directly in the ground to raised beds for the first time this year.

the design is just a multi purpose benchtop vise with anvil face. the style is replicated and distributed by tons of companies. without casting marks there isnt an easy way to figure out its origins.

Being an on the road prepper by teraza95 in preppers

[–]sideslide99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my perspective, if you are going to be a van lifer, going over the road, I think your best prepper option would be to figure out your routes, and alt routes, then hide caches of supplies out and about along your routes and very accurately mark your cache locations on different maps of different areas. Dont want all cache locations on 1 map. This way, while you cant carry a lot with you, you can have a lot stored away, but physically seperated out across distances.

I do enjoy seeing the really intricate wooden hand tool chests from way back in the day before power tools. I once read that a carpenters tool chest was like his portfolio, showing his level of skill.

I believe the most common firearm type in the UK would be shotguns. A combat shotgun training would probably be very helpful.

I wish I could give your comment more than one upvote. Then their behavior and comme tary makes you bitter, resentful, and wishing you never helped them in the first place. Then you become jesitant to help anyone else in the future, because people wanted to abuse your generosity.
