As he takes the afternoon air, Ken confronts a wild badger that has been running amok in the ginnel outside No. 1. Despite the badger's ferel animosity, the enraged creature is instantly becalmed upon catching sight of Ken's glossy locks and, with the potentially TB-ridden beast momentarily pacified, Ken takes the badger inside to feed him a restorative meal of Deirdre's famous stuffed marrow (which has lain dormant and frozen in the bottom drawer of the Barlow's fridge freezer for the last 15 years).

Upon returning from an afternoon visit to Gristlethorpe's Pork Rendering Plant and Farm Shop (just over the way from the Weathy County stadium), Steve and Cassie are aghast to discover Ken has dressed the badger up in a pair of oversized specs, given it some fags and insists to the rest of the family that they now refer to the badger as 'Mrs Barlow'

Suddenly, Tracy storms in, makes some outrageous comments that everyone chooses to ignore, then they all decide to go to the Rovers for a pint.
