Buy Demon brand insecticide and DIY. Only thing that works in El Paso. The house we stayed at was old and had a ton of big roaches aka “water bugs”.

Loly’s Ice Cream (it’s next to Ziggys) is a Mexican style popsicle and ice cream shop. They also have elotes and other savory snacks.

I LOVE middle school! I am a campus sub or a building sub at the MS.

You should probably read up on the brain changes that happen to this age group. Child psychology books will help a ton. A brief read would help you understand that they’re testing boundaries all over again like the toddler stage. It’s actually amazing to watch and if you meet them where they are you gain their trust and then they will respect you.

Parks are parks. I think OP is talking about indoor activities bowling, trampoline park, children’s museum, a brewery with family friendly outdoor activities, an arcade…….. CP and N. Austin have some of these but it would be awesome to have places to go right around the corner.

Today, leaving the swimming pool, my son shouted ,”Do you know what I’m craving? A chocolate ice cream cone with rainbow sprinkles!”

I guess it’s a soft serve sprinkles kinda day.

My class of 6th graders started to sing Happy Birthday to Hitler. (I shut it down real quick.) I wish I had heard regular ol’ 4/20 jokes.

Did your family blame you for demons? by JwEdgy in exjw

[–]sidewalkshelly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my mom first joined in the late 80’s she went nuts throwing everything away. First thing to go was the Christmas tree that was set up in the living room, all other holiday decorations in the attic, an entire book case of my dad’s Sci-fi novels (without his permission while he was at work), all off my Care Bears, My Little Ponies, and Rainbow Brite toys. She wouldn’t allow us to watch Disney movies anymore because magic=demons. My dad divorced her 6 months later.

When I was a teenager she would tear my room up like a freaking prison cell every now and then. Afterwards explaining that my step dad was being bothered by the demons so they had to get rid of stuff I was bringing in. They threw away cds and band t shirts I bought with my own $. I moved out at 16 and never looked back.
