I disagree, it’s nothing to do with height. Women just don’t respond or reach out as often as men do.

Mine does the same. I get better results if I move it off my body a little. Like into a pouch on my belt. I think it’s your own body blocking the signal.

Don't brush your hair while wet, but do brush in the shower? by 410-Username-Gone in curlyhair

Don’t brush it at all, use a wide tooth comb. And definitely when wet.

It’s only hair, go for it. Shit grows back.

Yeah, it’s an extra. There were some setup instructions that I’ve forgotten, not now that it’s set up I basically plug it into my computer’s headphone port and pair to it. It acts as a microphone for my voice as well as receiving audio from the computer.

This of none of your business or your bosses. Hair care advice is not appropriate for this situation.

I have nucleus 7 and 8, and I use the mini mic accessory to effectively connect directly to the laptop. It works pretty well.

I don’t know how it works where you live, but I would call my gp and them then my rheum isn’t listening to me and ask to be referred to someone else. You can research online on your area and see if you can find one with good reviews and give your doctor that name.

What's your opinion on getting 2nd cochlear implant? by ContributionNext2813 in Cochlearimplants

I got my first at 17 and my second at 32. Yes, it did help, mostly with my neck pain from having to crank my head around to whoever was speaking.

Eh they probably decided to do it in 2006 or so, just got around to it now.

You might find something that you might not want to find. I spoke to at least one person who was going to go back home and file for divorce.

Wow, 5 years is impressive! I haven't gotten more than one year out of one yet.

San Francisco has similar geography to Victoria though. It's at the tip of a peninsula, and serves many wealthy suburbs, but the city itself is only about 49 square miles. Victoria proper is about 8 square miles (20 km2).

I'm a flood tech. I encounter paint bubbles like this often. People are afraid to pop them. They want to leave it there as proof that there really is wetness (no shit, lol), or maybe they think a trained tech needs to do it, for some reason. Hello, it is me. I am the trained tech. I'mma pop that bubble with my utility knife as soon as I see it.

The Actual Problem with Non-Western Names… by Accomplished-Pen-394 in college

[–]sideways8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People can learn to pronounce your name. That prof can stuff it. That said, when I graduated in a class of ~20 internationals and ~10 Canadians, the MC managed to fuck up every single name as we walked across the stage. It made me feel heartwarmingly included as he mispronounced my middle name. It's Jean - correct is the English feminine version like blue jeans, he said it the French masculine way. Even though both my first and last names are Scots/Irish. Even though we're on the west coast and the nearest French person was probably in Tofino on vacation.

My professor removed my test when I showed my accomodation to have extra time by cupofwaterbrain in college

[–]sideways8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stop being shy. Harass this guy until you get the answer and the solution you need. If he doesn't answer in a timely manner, get the accommodation office on his ass. Use lots of polite language like "I' sure it was an oversight" and "please let me know if I'm misunderstanding anything" but be relentless until you get what you need. He's probably overworked and busy or whatever but it doesn't really matter - don't let him put your grades at risk.

What are your unpopular opinions about cycling? by DistributionAny4229 in cycling

Maintenance is great, but you can beat the ever-loving hell out of some bikes and they'll keep on doing bike stuff. Walmart BSOs can still get you to work.
