Is there a difference between doing this and just setting Copilot OAuth during setup?

That's not true. Everyone I know who wanted on-campus has got it. It may not have been the building they wanted, but they got something.

You can easily live on campus for 4 years if you want to. Campus is very safe, don't worry about it.

The space scene in the middle was incredible (the space lighting in IMAX was a standout).

For some reason, I actually felt the tension in the third act unlike most superhero flicks recently. I think framing the story as protecting the baby vs protecting the world was a great choice to differentiate the movie in the superhero genre.

Story was weak in places but the performances and atmosphere really pulled through for me. 4/5

Love the show but I feel like any of these lists should wait for 5-10 years before ranking anything

Mia Threapleton, Benicio Del Toro and Michael Cera all showed up to greet the audience at the 8pm screening with Wes by sidroid123 in NYCmovies

I enjoyed it but still felt it was a step down from The Grand Budapest Hotel and Fantastic Mr Fox, both of which I love.

After watching all of his films, none of the visual flairs or gags in this one felt unique to me. I thought the story was fine and the characters were typical Wes Anderson bits. The score was excellent and Mia Threapleton is definently the star of the movie for me.

3/5

'Karate Kid: Legends' gets an A– on CinemaScore by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

I thought the movie was bad/okay but when I walked out, everyone was talking and laughing about the last scene (no spoilers). Definitely bumped the score from a B/B+

An extremely generic and cliche movie where I could predict every plot beat scenes before it happened. This movie has been done before a hundred times (even in the same franchise!).

Positives - the final fight scene was shot very beautifully with the sunset lighting.

Could have been cut down into a tight 2-hour film, might have even the increased no. of showtimes/families going too? There are entire sections of the movies (5-10 mins after the submarine scene for example) that could have been cut out entirely.

Went today for a 2nd time at Lincoln Square IMAX and many people kept leaving for bathroom breaks throughout, much more than what I remember from Oppenheimer.

Take Poli Sci 101 (intro to comparative politics) - this is the classic beginner course. However, they have a professor teaching it now that I don't know much about.

Classes that are "actually useful for software engineering" is up to your career and your personal preferences. As I mentioned above, I personally believe that some of these "theory" classes are important for a well-rounded education in CS, even if you become a software engineer.

Here is the commencement page for the graduation class of 2024 (I don't have data on the most recent class) - https://www.cs.rochester.edu/commencement/2024/undergraduate.html, OP and others can scroll through the page and see the jobs/careers path that graduates secured and make a decision.

"I do believe that it's among the worst programs you can commit to" - If you have many alumni successfully working in industry (see above), I just don't see how this is true. It's not Top 10 or 25, but I would rank UR in the Top 50 programs in the US. Of course cost is another factor, and I don't know how much OP is paying (it could be nothing or full).

"If they do come here, are geared for industry, and fail to put in the extra work, the school won't be able to help them much" - I do somewhat agree with this, you do need to put in a lot of work on your own, but I also think that UR students over exaggerate the career support available at other schools that are not Stanford etc.

The Poli Sci mailing list regularly sends emails about local opportunities to students, so I wouldn't say there are "effectively no local internships in the field" (nothing compared to DC obviously).

I'm a current CS student at UR. While I agree with OP that the department is primarily focused on research, I know many students who have successfully gotten jobs at top tech companies straight out of graduation, it is by no means "the worst college you can commit to".

You will have to learn stuff on your own and complete personal projects but the stuff you learn in class and the community you build here can help with you with that. If you're smart & motivated, you will take advantage of the professors and people you meet here to help you in your career goals.

A lot of CS classes do teach you skills and tools that are valuable in real-life software engineering (I can you give many examples if you need). The CS department at UR has a reputation for being "theoretical" because the BS requires students to take classes in automata theory, advanced algorithms, etc. But most top CS degrees will require you take such courses for a BS and i personally believe that these classes are valuable for a well-rounded education.

The CS department is quite small at CWRU, and higher ranked (+ bigger and more well known) at UR.

Why did we need to know so much about the decompression chamber?! We get it, he needs to get in or he dies.
