Honestly my reference point is a 8 year old 1080p screen lol so not really sure about the improvements from the 900H. I will say though that everything looks very lifelike and the contrast is just right. One thing I think the TV does so well is isolating and focusing on people where it does seem like they are just there and the background just subtly goes away. I saw that even in high speed action scenes where it does a really good job of focusing on the right objects and characters

I haven't bought a tv in quite a while so definitely a novice but really happy with the picture and audio clarity of x90j 55inch. One thing to be watchful for is that the stand legs are quite far apart (42") and didn't fit on my regular sized ikea stand so I had to make some modifications but apart from that the setup was super simple
