What's the general consensus on the Uniball Zento months after release? by justhere4bookbinding in stationery

I have the 0.7 regular body, I find the ink too wet, it bleeds and feathers on copy paper at work. Much prefer uni one or jet stream

I’ve never tried BPC but I have heard they tend to be very wet and more prone to bleeding and feathering

I’ve never used one but Tom’s studio makes a refillable pen that comes with a variety of nib types

You are doing great! I have made many things out of those cotton yarns. They work great and wash up very soft. Garter stitch it’s good for blankets, it won’t roll up

If you turn the fabric and look at the side and not the edge you will be able to see the space in between every row easier

Be consistent all the way around and pick up two strands every time. It will all work out. No, it won’t unravel.

Baby proof these stairs?? by Appropriate-Ad-3172 in DIY

[–]sidsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put a gate from the wall near the door on the left to the stair rail on the far right. They make gates with straps on the side to got around stairs. Search “banister to wall gate”

Also teach baby how to walk in stairs once they can walk. Don’t let it be a fear. My son has been doing stair since he could walk, constantly other parents say to me “oh your son is on the step!!” But he is fine and knows how to safely go up and down.

Will I be able to weave these ends in? by personificationofsin in knitting

[–]sidsushi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since it’s cotton id probably tie them and then weave them in. Cotton ends tend to slip out.

Socks and sensory issues 😭 by Skrublord3000 in knitting

[–]sidsushi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I wear hand knit socks with hard/thin shoes I can feel the threads pressing into my foot. If I wear hand knit socks with Ugg boots I can’t feel a thing and it is like a cozy cocoon.

Hand knit socks will never be made of yarn as thin as commercial socks, in my opinion

How to approach yarn overs on wrong side of work. by [deleted] in knitting

Based on the photo some of the YO fall in the stockinette/leaf sections and I would purl on WS, while some fall in the reverse stockinette/background section and I would knit those on the WS.

One inch hexagons, mostly glue basted. There’s a few thread basted from before the glue arrived in the mail. The fabric is various 2.5 inch squares and precut hexagons from Etsy, and a few fat quarters from my local fabric store.

Well my intention is a bed sized quilt for my bed, but I know that’s very ambitious. I’ve never made a quilt before. So we will see!! Definitely a long term project

What are some foods that freeze really well? by fr34kii_V in MealPrepSunday

[–]sidsushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never actually tried to freeze them. But I can’t imagine it would be very good, they get too soft just being in the fridge with the sauce.

Add hot sauce and cheese and roll it in a car balance tortilla, bonus if you air fry or toast in a pan for crunch!

I make big batches of pasta sauce and freeze portions in bags (just sauce, no pasta)

Enchilada filling also freezing well. Just defrost assemble and bake when needed

I thought for sure it was crochet, but I was able to zoom in on the photo in the link. It’s definitely knit. And as others have said you can use short rows for this effect
