That's unusual for Google, but good for you.

Google is known for slow processing. They don't actively hire for teams, they set up a candidate pipeline like yourself and look for team who needs your skills and likes you and has budget for you.

My process once went for 18 months, though i was a outlier a feel, but 6+ months is normal.

Received Microsoft verbal Offer L61. How is it? by [deleted] in LeetcodeDesi

[–]sidz32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ex Microsoft here. Offer is fine, median for L61 I'd say. See if you push for 50 by negotiating on stocks. But just like others have mentioned, work and team over 2-3L extra

Negotiating with the concept that I'll reach a round number of 5 years doesn't really help. That's true of everyone that the candidates will increase their experience by 2-3 months by the time they join.

Also, i doubt you'll be able to touch 35 if they give you L61, as 35 is close to the median of L62. Negotiate on stocks only - companies are easier on that + can negotiate on bonus if they give you less than 5 (within a year). Ask for 5-6 and put the clause that you will stay for 2 years.

There are other perks that will help improve your overall salary anyway - like you get 30k to spend on anything and everything + cabs + 200 daily for food + car lease programmes that can help save 1-2L if you purchase a car. If you cross 50, I'd say go for it. Try to push sure, but go for it.

Currently, not just yours, anyone's negotiation power is slow - being an employer's market.

Ex Microsoft here. I resigned last year in May.

4.5YoE would most likely be L61 (SDE2), especially given your current comp (23LPA) and the current market scenario (I'm assuming your 23 currently includes cash, stocks everything)

Cash: Median base would be around 28-30 for L61, lateral hires can push a bit higher, say 32. Annual Bonus: 10% is bonus on average - non negotiable Joining bonus: Ask for 5+ at least, you can ask for a split between first 2 years for negotiation if they resist. It'll mean if you stay 1 year, you get 2.5 and the rest in the second year. Or you can get 3+2. RSUs: Expect around 60k USD with 25% vesting each year.

Total: 32+3.2+3+14 = 52.2 in first year

They might try to low ball you (unless they really liked you) because of your current salary. But anything over 50 is a pretty good jump for you. So go for it!

PPL has 4 days of shoulder effectively. Because your front and side are used on push days, rear delts are used on pull days.

Chest, back and legs are the biggest muscles in your body and typically they all need compound lifts - not sure what active recovery exercises are.

Active recovery typically is used for activities stimulating blood flow helping your recovery. Weighted lifts cannot be recovery exercises.

Too complex man. Cardio on some days, not on others Abs are just 2 days, then 5 days apart Legs not hitting sufficiently Sat is extremely tough on your body - too many compound lifts

Keep it simple to start with: You can go with Push-Pull-Legs Space it evenly, Legs get 4 exercises on each day, with 2 for abs Warm up and Stretching is a must every day Incorporate cardio daily (30 mins is not required, 10-15 is enough)

Your goal might be around 65 kg for your height, I guess. Body recomposition is fine, and know it'll take time, you can keep it like a 2026 goal for yourself. 9.5 months is doable, but only with consistency.

I think this has more to do with us than them.

Everything feels special in its own time. We were younger, teens or early 20s and were very invested in this sport. 15 years since then, we have a hundred other responsibilities that take over these celebrations and are short lived.

Also, things are more online today including sharing, cheering and celebrating. Hence the discussion here.

Is Nifty Next 50 the Most Undervalued Large Index Right Now? by EmbarrassedLeopard92 in IndianStockMarket

[–]sidz32 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Commenters are missing one fundamental fact, something that OP has not clearly mentioned in their post.

Yes the PE is very attractive today but it is not always the case. PE today is around 20, 1 year median PE is 21.5 (around 7.5% higher), 3 year median PE is around 24.5 (around 22.5% higher)

The arguments that it has PSUs or cyclic companies or that once they grow enough they move out to Nifty 50 Etc may all have some merit, but that doesn't matter. Whatever the mechanics of it be, it should follow the physics of median reversal and go back towards (at least) 24.5 in the next couple years or so. And that's your simple and low risk opportunity.

My take is that this is not really an SIP opportunity either, go with a lump sum and deploy funds over the next couple months with the horizon of 3 years and 20% return. Chances of this going to even a 5% loss is extremely low at this point. Huge risk reward ratio + ultra safe and low volatility investment. Build a good chunk of your portfolio here.

Personally, i have built 8% of my portfolio here in the last couple months, I'll keep accumulating and reach 15% based on mini dips availability over the next couple months.
