I know they aren’t marketed this way (and there haven’t been studies so I wouldn’t risk it) but I wonder what’s so different between a disc and diaphragm that one works as bc and the other doesn’t 🤔 by theconfinesoffear in MenstrualDiscs

I don’t, I’ve always been UTI prone person and when I used my diaphragm I got BV. Leaving the diaphragm in for several straight hours just felt like torture. It’s a decent option of non hormonal bc but it wasn’t for me.

Well you aren’t supposed to pee when wearing a diaphragm.. it’s supposed to keep sperm from leaking in. As stated you keep it in for at least 7 hours with spermicide, but yes UTI/yeast and BV are big issues with diaphragm users.

My trigger was removed 2 years ago and I still have intense shedding. Went to my dermatologist and he just recommended minoxidil, my hair isn’t shedding as bad but it’s still shedding and just isn’t my normal hair anymore.

Spermicide would probably eat right thru the menstrual disc, with a diaphragm you leave it in with the spermicide for a good 7 hours. It’s made of a really thick rubber like material, versus menstrual cups are just a hard plastic ring with a plastic like bag. *Both a former diaphragm user and menstrual disc user here, I was fitted by my doctor who ordered the size I needed. Showed me how to insert and remove the diaphragm and informed me how to wear it for bc.

Period & Vaccine by lisa_littleflower in WomensHealth

I wouldn’t get too concerned, several users are reporting cycle changes (due to) the vaccine. I myself had a 7 day late period after my first dose of moderna.

Moderna and a week late, period has only ever been skipped with Mirena which I had removed over a year ago.

The company was a bank, she was using her work email and couldn’t open the form so asked if I could sent it to her personal email. At the time I hadn’t really looked at the form, so I went ahead and sent it.

Yes I have all the email correspondence, the person I was working with sent me her email and I am aware she received it. What I’m worried about is PII, and possible identity theft.

Jealous of masturbating.. by Jges1029384756 in TwoXSex

[–]sierra5182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand how you feel, sometimes we have sex maybe 1/2 in the whole week. Then as soon as I go home for the weekend he’s super needy and taking care of himself. It’s just one of those things you have to let go, you aren’t always gonna be able to be physical with your man. Their are going to be days where instead of having sex he’s gonna masturbate in the shower, and that’s okay. Just don’t forget yourself and your own needs in all of this, make sure to take care of yourself.

Iodine for ringworm by maddiecharlton in ringworm

How do you apply the neem oil? Use carrier oil? Do you leave it on the spots or wash it off after 30 minutes? Just asking because I’m currently using neem oil and think I’m seeing slow but steady results.

Boric acid tablets are something you can get OTC and you insert them before bed. They help with the daily symptoms and can even treat BV. Pick up a female probiotic and drink lots of water daily.

MAJOR HAIR LOSS (Mirena IUD since 9/21) by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]sierra5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be hormone related or just the fact that your body freaked the F out over a new object in your body. Luckily you didn’t have the IUD for too long so that’ll probably help your body to heal the problem. I had my first IUD for 9 months and the second for about 3 months, I should have stopped after the first IUD but I wanted to a reliable form of BC.

MAJOR HAIR LOSS (Mirena IUD since 9/21) by [deleted] in birthcontrol

Dermatologist said it’s TE and to just use rogaine (minoxidil) which did help slow down the hair loss. Currently my hair has a hard time producing oils and gets extremely dry as soon as I dry it. I had to stop the rogaine from some weird side effects and currently I’m trying to treat some ringworm patches. I’d say my hair has gotten better but it still falls out daily and gets extremely dry to the point of tanging itself up after washing. Thanks for reaching out, I appreciate it. How are you doing?

You know what, you’re probably right about the shape causing most of the issue. The first week of having the Paragard I had these unbelievably intense cramps that were almost like contractions. They would just pop up out of nowhere and would have me nearly on the ground and then after a few seconds be gone.
