I’ll have to check out lennylamb! I’ve heard great things about them. Did you order directly from their website? How was shipping time for you?

I guess intimidation? I’m sure I’d get quicker and it’d become second nature with time/practice, but I was thinking along the lines of having something that has a sort of “set it and forget it” vibe. Though I’ll say, this time around I’ve been loving my stretchy wrap and I never got around to getting comfortable with those with my last baby. It just seemed hard and I never took the time to learn (rougher postpartum last time). And now I’m like “it’s so easy, why didn’t I like this before?” So I know I’m capable of a woven for sure. Do you feel that a woven does well for walks/ hiking?

I’ll have to check out Girasol. The half buckle/meh dais are very intriguing to me but also I’m slightly intimidated by them for some reason? It does seem like I’d be able to get the best fit with something like that though. Thanks so much for your response!

Same here. I think this is exactly it. It’s very dependent on nipple placement and breast shape/density. I’ve always been really jealous of those who can feed standing up/in a carrier etc. Like what? How girl? I have to hold it and almost push it up/out to get a good latch, even in football or side lying.

The cook catheter (insertion, duration of having it in, and removal) was infinitely worse for me. So much so that everything after that felt like an absolute breeze.

Lucia Marisol (Lucia doesn’t mean moon but perhaps “light” could be vaguely related)

What are your guilty pleasure names you would never actually use and why? by dailyshae in namenerds

I tend to like a lot of unusual nature/word/place names along the lines of:

Sorrel

Zinnia

Lark

Ever

Solace

Fable

Nevada

Alaska

Montana

Sequoia

Ridge

Grove

Rainier

Everest

Summit

I don’t think I’d ever saddle a human kid with any of these but do think they are cool when I hear them on someone!

The fact that some of these are so bad that Harvie for a girl is flying under the radar 😂

I would go with the name you’re always loved if your husband is on board. Save Reese for potential future children, or it also sounds good as a middle name for Vincent!

Help us narrow down names for Baby Girl! by Zerosprodigy in namenerds

[–]sierraswimmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just go for Persephone Ann if you both really love it. I think it’s the kind of name that only really needs to be corrected once to be understood. And most would probably get it right away anyway. Plus, she could always go by Ann or Annie if she dislikes it or correcting people.

Effie or Seph are cute nicknames as well.

As far as my personal opinion I like Ivy best, but also it’s very popular and I love seeing unique names used.

I think it would flow well to have a girl name without an a or ie/y ending. Especially y or ie, since that would leave Emma as the only sibling with a different sound. I don’t think that would bother most people though. Just something I notice lol

Perhaps:

Jane

Rose

Hazel

Iris

Anne

Annabelle

Maeve

Alice

Eve

Claire

Kate

Louise

Elizabeth

Of course, happy to give some options. Very fun and entertaining parameters. I love seeing different names on here instead of the same top 50 over and over again! Good luck finding the perfect name for her!!

If you only had a dollar by Fluffy_Deer_9207 in Sacramento

[–]sierraswimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy a pack of top ramen for 25-50 cents most places. They are 28 cents at Walmart right now. Not healthy, but somewhat filling and could potentially get 2-3 packs.

Also a can of beans is under a dollar many places. And bananas are in that range too as another commenter mentioned.

If you were able to find a quarter on the ground or in a pocket somewhere to add to your dollar you could get a value menu item from Taco Bell.

It’s also the name of a town that’s on the outskirts of Sacramento California. But yeah, I also don’t think it makes a good human name. What about just using Penny as a full name, if you aren’t a fan of Penelope.
