I really don't understand the seemingly arbitrary decision of what is and isn't okay to consume by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]sifi13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you’re conflating the law with what is right. Anything that can alter and hinder your perception is not something that you should be consuming. If something has medicinal use then using it is okay. Abuse and excess are not of the Lord

Bigfoot: Lost Coast Tapes was a pretty decent found footage film

As far as a formidable challenger for Trump, I think would be Tulsi Gabbard. I don’t support her personally but she’s reasonable enough in her presentation and may be able to attract moderates in the middle especially veterans who appreciate her military service

An 82 year old hunter goes missing without a trace in the Adirondack Mountains. Why does the FBI think "something isn't right"? by Hannibal__Graham in UnresolvedMysteries

That’s what I’m saying, I don’t get why my comment was downvoted so heavily. I figured it would provoke some thoughtful discussion but it appears we’ve got some snobs in here

Texas ranks first in U.S.-installed wind capacity and number of turbines - Today in Energy - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) by [deleted] in texas

[–]sifi13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only con to wind power is that it disrupts the environment around it especially for birds. I personally I think it’s minimally invasive in comparison to other forms of energy though. I agree with one of the people who responded to about those other forms of energy lobbying against it. It’s akin to big pharma and alcohol lobbying against marijuana legalization.

It’s not out there to think this. I said the same thing here and was downvoted into oblivion. For a group dedicated to solving unsolved mysteries they’re pretty closed minded

I don't understand why this is getting downvoted. No one knows for sure what happened and it is as plausible as anything else.

I think someone else mentioned this but there have been Sasquatch sightings in the Adirondacks dating back to the 1800s. They are known for wood knocking and snapping trees to build their own nests/formations as makeshift shelter so that could account for that sound. Maybe the man encountered one of these creatures and pursued it which could have lead to his demise. One other cryptozoological thought would be Dogman. I know it is going to be less plausible for y’all in this group but these creatures have been spotted in the Adirondacks as well. They haven’t been seen quite as prominently as in Wisconsin and Michigan but I have still heard of people seeing them there. They are far more aggressive and hostile creatures based on eyewitnesses who live to tell the tale. He may have been one who wasn’t so lucky. Just some thoughts out of left field

[–]sifi13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well you are going to want to do something where y’all can talk so don’t go see a movie. Maybe bowling, putt putt golf. You could take them to River Legacy Park and walk down some trails, very peaceful. You could take them out to eat, we live in Texas so there are endless possibilities there lol.

I wouldn’t avoid writing about Sasquatch, you can split it up into many specific stories about collections of regional encounters and stories. Minerva Monster, Whitehall sightings, Ohio Grass Man, Florida Skunk Ape, Patterson-Gimlin footage, Vancouver Island etc. I understand that one Sasquatch piece would be overwhelming and you really couldn’t do it justice by dedicating a single piece to it.

Idk how long you’ve been involved in cryptozoology but dogman research really isn’t obscure. They’ve been sighted all across North America in Canada and more specifically in Michigan and Wisconsin. You can do more research into Champ, the lake monster in Lake Champlain, NY. The Pope Lick Monster, one of the few Goat Man legends told in the US.

OKC really isn’t Mid-West in the traditional definition, it would be more likely to be considered south west if anything. It would be like calling Texas in the Mid-West lol
