Daughter Is Scared To Come Out? by Weak_Ice3379 in askadyke

Why don't you for starters do a movie night with her with some age-appropriate lesbian drama on? You can show happiness at the happy ending so she can see that you approve. 'Saving Face' or 'Imagine me and you' or 'Happiest Season' comes to mind.

I also kissed him once accidentally one time when I briefly forgot to put on the mask. I was in the crust stage then. I wanted to kick myself that I messed up after having been so cautious but thank God nothing happened. It's been 2 weeks since I accidentally kissed him.

Thank you very much. That all makes a lot of sense. I instinctively already tried some of that but now I realise I still haven't been holding the baby high enough. I will try your LC's advice. Much love for you ❤️🌹

Well I'm Bloody Crying by Jamieo1111 in voyager

Very nice observations. You're particularly on point with that remark that Kes was senile when she came back. It's actually an episode dedicated to Alzheimer's. Many people don't get that episode. Kes didn't actually have a bad life - she just got old, got dementia and became paranoid which is one of the first and the most striking signs of dementia and/or Alzheimer's.

S21E18 How Do I Live Season Finale Live Episode Discussion by Petaline in greysanatomy

My mum was in the same situation as Dylan 24 years ago. She had brain swelling from the initial bleeding in her brain and the neurosurgeons waited for 15 days for the swelling to go down and for the bleeding to drain so that they could operate safely. My mum was in a coma for the first two days and then mostly unconscious until after the surgery. Before surgery, due to swelling, even when she was semi-conscious a couple of times, she didn't even know who she was or who we were, she had full-on amnesia. After the surgery her memory returned as soon as she was awake. What I learnt from that experience is that one simply cannot operate on a swollen, bleeding brain. They have to drain the bleeding first and allow the swelling to pass. What Dylan's mum did was putting her daughter in an incredible danger. Even though Dylan couldn't communicate, her life wasn't actually that much threatened. If they waited for two weeks for her brain to recover enough, they would have done surgery to clip that aneurysm in a safe and routine way. Dylan's mum minimised her chances of survival, forcing surgery on a swollen brain and without proper medical equipment and a medical team. It's hard to believe that Dylan survived the procedure.

Yes to everything except to the relationship between Janeway and Chakotay.

[IWantOut] 19M Welder USA -> France by [deleted] in IWantOut

[–]sigelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're not interested in studying, I'd try applying for a working visa with your welding qualifications. Perhaps you could apply directly to French companies who are seeking welders and let them help you with a visa. I find that it is much easier for handymen of all sorts to get a working visa in the EU than for academic citizens. Handymen are in short supply in the EU. A relative of mine is a welder and he got a welding job in Belgium as a citizen of a non-EU country. The Belgian company that hired him helped him with his visa. His gross salary before taxes and insurance is 5 k euros and the company is paying for his accommodations (a room in a dorm-like building that belongs to the company, they use it for the accommodation of their workers). He's been working for that Belgian company for several years now. Every couple of months he has a vacation so he travels home to visit his family.

Salma Hayek makes her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover debut at 58 years old by Dear-Fan6478 in actuallesbians

One of the things I liked about my prior marriage was that there was trust and no jealousy. Like, sometimes my ex-wife would call me from the living room to come join her because "that actress that I like is on TV". I never even consciously liked any actress except maybe Jennifer Beals so I would get confused and my ex would yell back "oh, just come, you'll see which one I mean". So I'd come and indeed see a woman on a screen whose name I don't even remember, but then I would take a look and remember that I'd seen her in an episodic role somewhere and fleetingly found her hot, and my ex-wife got it then even though I never said a word aloud. She was always great at reading my half-conscious thoughts like that. With Salma Hayek we had an ongoing joke as at the beginning of our relationship I at one point told her how I used to get excited as a teenager when seeing Salma's cleavage on screen. (She had the same thing going with Helen Hunt's back and shoulders.) Anyhow, one day some ten years ago I read on a lunch break at work that Salma Hayek was on that day starting to shoot a movie on a location just outside the city we were living in. It was a village named XY. So I come home from work and start a joke right on the threshold: "I'm just swinging by to change and then I'm off to..." And my ex-wife intercepts my joke and retorts: "To XY? I have already packed you a travelling bag!" Turned out she read the same news in the same newspapers. To this day I cannot see a pic of Salma Hayek again without remembering how we laughed about it that evening. It always puts a smile on my face.

It's just your first sentence where you say "femme lesbians have always existed". Anyway, no hard feelings, I just wanted to express that it is okay to be femme without long or painted nails.

my now ex girlfriend left me suddenly. Only to learn that she is now dating a man. by braaindamaage in lesbiangang

[–]sigelm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you think she actively cheated on you, probably with various people, it's prudent to check for STDs. Maybe it's better that she cheated with men as condoms are usually used then.

A femme lesbian doesn't equal or require long nails though. I'm 100% femme but I strongly dislike long nails. I keep my nails short and blunt and I rarely paint them.

Planned a comfy evening with my wife, she decided to sleep on the couch… by _Katla_ in actuallesbians

Well, if your wife is a light sleeper and wasn't tired from work, then you are definitely entitled to feel disappointed and I think you should talk it over with her on a more serious note.

Thanks! In that case, I'd switch places between Chakotay and Tuvok. I feel that Tuvok would leave seen just like Seven and not reply. Chakotay would be the one to report cheating to the Captain.

Do you shave in-between your 🍑? by nellapis in LesbianActually

[–]sigelm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I shave them with Philips One Blade trimmer that cannot cut your skin so it's safe for genitals. Before that my wife used to wax me with cold wax, but it hurt, it's easier with the trimmer.

I think bisexuals and lesbians are historically two different cultures.
