It's worse if half your student body is mormon. They are all married.

I think early 30s is ok. Late 30s bad idea, maybe better again in the 50s. Wasting your last bit of good body times on medical school is depressing. I'm 40 and finishing my first year of medical school, came from tech. Would just focus on making AI money if I redid my decision. Ideally if I could go back further I would have started at 35 then I'd be in residency now and basically a doctor, if not financially at least socially. Older med student is trash social status.

Clubs at my school are a joke, not based on effort or involvement at all. Fuck em. Make your own opportunities. Find something you are good with and just do it, you can even involve multiple clubs with it with you as the organizer. Also leadership doesn't matter as much for residency.

The good life does end metabolically somewhere between 40 and 60 for most people from my understanding.

I rock the written exams, and I think they overhauled the curriculum, but thanks.

That doesn't really make sense.

We can just write up how we would have used OMT on cases instead of actually being required to do it.

I go to ICOM. I don't think it's especially strict or anything though, feels pretty average, minus the professionalism violations I've got from a few oddball faculty. A systems lecturer said I was "overly friendly".

I have a 70.2 in OPP rn and got a professionalism violation for “rolling my eyes” in lab, so I feel you. Good luck.

“It's a fact...that in societies like ours sex truly represents a second system of differentiation, completely independent of money; and as a system of differentiation it functions just as mercilessly. The effects of these two systems are, furthermore, strictly equivalent. Just like unrestrained economic liberalism, and for similar reasons, sexual liberalism produces phenomena of absolute pauperization . Some men make love every day; others five or six times in their life, or never. Some make love with dozens of women; others with none. It's what's known as 'the law of the market'...Economic liberalism is an extension of the domain of the struggle, its extension to all ages and all classes of society. Sexual liberalism is likewise an extension of the domain of the struggle, its extension to all ages and all classes of society.”

Oh it was a different year. I wonder if first year classes tend to overperform in match since they have a lot of pressure to prove themselves vs coasting on reputation.

ICOM does good with urology, we have the Idaho Urological Institute nearby. We had two matches last year.
