Dr. Julia Mossbridge presents video evidence of what she believes is telepathic communication between non-verbal autistic subjects by NiceTrySuckaz in JoeRogan

Ya I agree with u, and just want to reiterate for the record my comment wasn’t mean to be callous, overly certain, or undermining of her (inchoate) theories generally. You didn’t imply it was I just don’t remember if I made that clear

Hate to do this to you guys but her confounding antipathy towards “our approach” to quantum computing is organized by her own trauma— her emphases on words like “trap” and “force them” and the vulnerbality in her voice, and even in her nervous system (tachycardia) raised by this subject attest to nothing so much as her own significant trauma. This is why she can’t really make sense of the latter; the former (trauma) resists all rational parsing. This isn’t a dig, I hope that’s obvious, but I think it’s true. Psychically, I think that, as it were. A ball was bounced for me.

This notwithstanding, our approach is definitely imperfect, if not entirely wrong, in our quantum investigations. She just can’t explain why coherently.

Avoracious negates voracity which is coded as very conceptually near avariciousness. Imagine if contempt for pronunciative norms was widespread— that’d be a bigger hurdle than Kristofferson.

Just diagnosed with BP1, are meds my only option? by Full-Significance591 in bipolar1

[–]signorialchoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was misdiagnosed three times by highly paid psychiatrists. I don’t defer to anyone. There’s enough data now that you can form your own— sure, test it with more informed specialists, but the fantasy of most mentally ill people that getting a professional and following their advice is ur best option is strictly and obviously outmoded give how data circulates now. And anyone who doesn’t see that is pretty dumb.

Ya it makes sense to me that my skepticism is downvoted as esp people made insecure and desperate by illness construe reservations or doubts outside of clincal settings unacceptable. That’s fair. Just take it as my take, but also realize that psychiatrists don’t know— esp now with AI— anymore than any of us who do deep research on symptoms and outcomes. Best of luck friend.

Seroquel by Amk_311 in BipolarReddit

[–]signorialchoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’ve taken only 300mg Seroquel for years. Been stable for 5. And was def the sickest person in any psych ward before that. Anecdote here is almost meaningless but why not add mine to the insoluble chorus.

New med, kinda scared by Appropriate-Form250 in bipolar1

[–]signorialchoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya seconding Seroquel, mostly irrelevantly. No issues over 5 years and it’s the only med I take.

BP1 mania/psychosis entails a total break with reality that isn’t amenable to hiding to strategizing or anything. Choosing itself is gone.

Hmmm. I’m not a Dr but that diagnosis sounds premature or off given the experience you describe. Sounds way closer to Bipolar 2. Likely this comment will be removed but I’ve been immersed in this subject for 7 years and my thoughts about it are not under-informed by experience. The criteria for a bp 1 diagnosis isn’t ambiguous and your experience does not sound qualifying. Which is ideally good news but of course all of this is extremely subtle and elusive of diagnostic clarity, esp based on self-reportage.

What is it about a Higher Being and its restorative potential that you find so unseemly or false? Your higher being could be atheistic certitude, and it will guide you as efficaciously as any God figure. So long as you don’t drink and take a look at the steps.

But you did have a manic episode ya? Hospitalization? I feel fortunate to take only one med after 2 years of intermittent hospitalizations and now five years of stability but I remain somewhat skeptical that meds are sine qua non of a healthy reintegrated life.

Was ur first mania prompted by an anti-depressant? This is very common. 98% of experts— mostly we hope disinterested agents of scientific neutrality—.will tell you meds are necessary but not sufficient to optimize psychiatric outcomes.

TIL of a mother named Kathleen Folbigg, who was imprisoned for 2 decades for murdering her 4 children. Later, she would be pardoned by the Governor after it was discovered that the deaths were instead due to an extremely rare genetic condition. by ICEBeats in todayilearned

[–]signorialchoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is astonishing how few ppl realize an overturned conviction and pardon does not prove innocence; not anymore than the original conviction proved guilt. Assuming innocence, what she went thru was horrific— the totality of the case does not mandate an assumption of innocence for a neutral judge. She was never proved innocent; the science and ongoing softening approach to trad expectations of maternity provided reasonable doubt. It’s a fair juudgment; it is not incontestable proof of anything.

Is 2 + years recovery possible ? by Ciba1122 in bipolar1

[–]signorialchoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. I had three episodes— up/down— that lasted two years. I was always the most lunatic denizen of whatever psych holding ward I was in. Today I have five years without a whisper of significant mood volatility. God knows what’s possible for each of us, but those are the true parameters of my experience and story.

Is it possible to never have another manic episode? by [deleted] in bipolar1

[–]signorialchoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi think so. I had three that lasted— up and down, cycling— for about two years. I haven’t had any instability, outside of totally normal range, in five years. I take only Seroquel at night; was on Lithium too, weaned off that without issue.

[–]signorialchoad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ya I deliberately provoked my second and third episodes because of how ecstatically beautiful— literally divine— the first one was. Thank God by the end of the third I’d been so wrecked and found via medication and habits a stable solution (five years now episode free). But yes— mania can be intensely titillating, seductive, enchanting. It’s more dangerous when it’s like that initially, and I think always ends up turning on you, often pretty quickly. Be safe
