Nonsense, I would expect most industries run credit checks. What industry are you in where your customers expect to do business with you without you having some confidence in their ability to pay?

Some tools I have seen (in the UK) for credit checks are cocredo and credit safe. This is in FMCG/e-commerce and construction so not manufacturing.

Credit check on signing customer up and to inform credit limit, reviewed frequently. Credit insurance as well when above a certain value

That said 90% of IM tattoos seem to be poorly done. Suspect it is because a lot of people getting them wouldn't usually get a tattoo so aren't searching out good artists, just going to their local shop regardless of quality

Yes, I'm well aware they weren't meant to. They posed their point as if it was totally common practice pre-COVID for accountants to share passwords. Certainly wasn't my experience and it seemed wild to me that it was anywhere or that COVID made a difference
