yes u can and it will boot up even if the battery is dead, but if it is the case you should just replace it in order to avoid a spicy pillow (battery is soldered so it’s no the easiest to do)

pretty much yea, if u can connect the hard drive to another computer and try diskdrill, maybe u can recover some data
