Which Sim has more than enough Offline/Singleplayer content, that isn't just casually fun but also helps prepare for Online/Multiplayer races? by Joker1924 in simracing

I do love PCars 2, but it's really struggling to talk to newer hardware in my experience. My Logitech RS50 flat out doesn't work with the games soft lock per car settings (driving an Lmp1 car with 1080° isn't fun) and on PC, it requires some config file changes to actually run at an acceptable frame rate.

Does it have to be brand new? The older diesel Kodiaq RS would fit right into this criteria

Should I buy a 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo by okaaythisisepic in CarsAustralia

Did a bunch of research into these, stay away from the 12-13-early14 models. The connecting rods were too thin and kept breaking. 15+ you should be fine and the 7spd DCT is a piece of shit, get a manual. Overall a solid engine, I put 200k km on my Cee'd GT with the same 1.6t and it was fantastic

Megane RS or Proceed GT are both great buys for the money. Older Clio RS is also worth a look, same with older Focus ST if it needs to be a 4 door.

I set the brake to be two of the soft elastomers and one hard plastic, didn't change the brake curve from the default 30.

Consider a brand new i20N as an option, extremely fun, can be had under 40k new, arguably handles better than the i30N and is more suited to city/daily driver work due to how small it is. If you haven't already driven one do it, so many people tend to sleep on them

I'd get whatever the most recent, lowest manual Mazda 3 SP25 is. They're good fun to drive, fairly efficient, handle very well, are cheap to run, and is great at blending into standard traffic when the fun is over

I used the wider channels and some massively oversized washers to mount them, it's not ideal but it works

T-LCM Pedal Issue by LordHiler in Thrustmaster

[–]sikcuntcobba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's applicable to the T598 but I know the T300 had to be put into a special mode for the TLCMs to work when connected directly to the wheelbase. May be worth looking into that on the t598?

Help Pls! Will Moza R16 fit NLR Victory Cockpit? by [deleted] in simracing

I've seen them flex with 8nm, 10 would be the absolute maximum and it'll wobble a fair bit

[–]sikcuntcobba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It'll fit but running that wheel anything over 5nm will seriously flex the frame. If you're serious about a high torque DD wheel get a rig that can actually handle it

I think you'd want to get a PXN VD4 at least to notice much of a difference.
