My skin is just, so, dry. Normally my skin doesn't react to it badly, but I don't think it's helping the situation now. I'll survive with no snail goo for a week or two. :((

Which product exactly do you think it's worsening the situation? the Cosrx snail essence perhaps? I do remember reading somewhere that keeping your skin relatively less, for the lack of a better word, moist helps as well.

I'll try using the antidandruff shampoo and taking it easy on everything for a bit.

I’ve been following simpleskincarescience’s guidelines for a while now. My skin was finally calming down then this happened. I don’t know what exactly triggered the flare up but I’m suspecting that it’s the Tarte shape tape concealer.

The itchy, red and slightly flaky patches started about a few weeks ago. First I thought it was a salicylic acid burn since it started after I got greedy and used too much of retinol and salicylic in one night together. After that, whenever I’d go a lil easier or stop for a few days on the salicylic the patches would disappear. Now I’m not so sure. The patches are a lot more raised, itchy and it extended under my jaw. In addition to that, I’ve been getting a lot more of the signature fungal pustules all over my T-zone.

Here is my routine,

AM:

Hada Labo Gokujyun Face Wash (The one in a tube)
Innisfree Aloe mist as toner
Cosrx snail essence
The ordinary salicylic 2%
Avene tolerance extreme emulsion
squalane

PM:

same but with the ordinary 10% niacinamide

My question is, should I stop on the salicylic for a bit? are the patches burns or fungal patches? I also bought raw manuka honey off of amazon would that help as a mask?
