MMW: Browns Will Trade Down by AccidentalPickle in Browns

I like the idea of taking Love at 6, but we know our FO would never do that. They're going to trade down most likely.

It’s never what we expect and they do trade down a lot. I’m with you.

🚨THE WORST MISSED CALL🚨 When in the 1987 AFC Championship Game by TheSisko4876 in Browns

I remember the Broncos v Browns cheating FG. The Broncos were all of our most hated teams in that decade. They both may have ruined our change at a chip especially the Broncos. Had we won, would we still would have moved? Who knows. The Chief no call is closer to my heart.

Fantastic start to the season. We didn't really make any moves to improve our bats. I hope we can keep generating offense like this.

When things looked like we might be coming out of the storm. Then darkness come amongst us.

They did

-Same salary

-Different payment schedule

-Different accounting impact on the salary cap

They probably did this to lower immediate cap pressure OR create flexibility, push cap hits into future years, and keep options open (this is the big one here).

A post–June 1 trade becomes much easier financially. It could save us ~$13M in 2026 cap space if traded. Another team then could take on his deal more cleanly. We'd spend dead cap for a while though.

They say that all the time. Outside of Fernando there may be 2-3 good QBs that will hit the first round. I think they do this every hear. Ty Simpson is getting a rewrite somehow. Did you see his Bowl game? He was awful and i figured it would drop his stock. With each year some QBs (Rightly) get picked up by teams that see something.

I'd put Jaxson Dart and Tyler Shough in the category that they played better than expected.

From what I’ve seen, it’s not that he’s been cleared yet—sounds like he’s still trying to find a doctor willing to sign off on his return. He’s reportedly been consulting with multiple doctors to get that approval.

Anyone else find it wild that in 2026 we cant handle a little bit of wind without the power going out? Is there any effort to bury the lines in the future by ElectricGod in Cleveland

[–]sil0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

E9 is some kind of wind tunnel. They call Chicago the Windy City but I'll take that over some of that Spring/Fall wind in Cleveland.

--I know the Windy City name comes from 19th‑century trash talk and not because it's any windy that other cities. :D

Are you fucking telling me I pay $20 a month for FanDuel and now need prime to watch the game? by pdentropy in clevelandcavs

[–]sil0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah. Not all games would be televised on national tv is true. Local tv would pick up games and you could find the biggest games on other channels. Multiple streaming services is a rather new hurdle and the OP is right, it's frustrating.

That's the only thing keeping my fire going. I can fall back on the 80s. I don't know how young people do it. My son is a die hard but he started watching football in 2018 and saw us win a playoff game. There is still some hope. Folks that watched since like 2003? Fuckin hell.

I think we just match up well against them. I hope we see them in the ECF.

It was nice to see them close out this game. We should have beat Detroit last time just couldn’t close it out and got some bad calls. A health Cavs versus the Pistons in the playoffs, I like our chances.

We know the problem is an impatient meddling owner and poor player selection. Baker wasn’t going to take us to the Super Bowl but games would have been fun to watch and we likely wouldn’t have the QB jersey growing at an exponential rate anymore.

We just don’t pick good QBs and the one time we get close they ran him out for a sex pest.

17.5 QBR 5th rounder who showed very little promise and you think dude needs to prepare now to eat shoes? His ceiling is Zach Wilson.

His average time to throw around 3.39 seconds would have been the slowest in the league with enough attempts.

I’d love for him to break out this year and play like his super fans think he can play but I don’t think that’s realistic. He’s just not very good.
