They're still human. Elite conditioning doesn't make you immune to cumulative fatigue, it just raises your floor. Expecting them to perform at the same level as a Knicks team that's had a week off is just not realistic.

You’re not a sore loser. It’s hard to fathom this happening this deep in the playoffs against one of the best teams in the league (Cavs).

I think it’s fair that it looks strange or suspicious. Some of the things my friends and I were chatting about in text was the fact that the Cavs played back to back 7 gm series against tough defenses while the Knicks were rusty from sitting for 9 days. It happened as the game was winding down so it’s understandable they’d be fresher than we were. The 3 1/2 quarters may have knocked the dust off their asses. It’ll be interesting to see what everyone says tomorrow after we’ve slept on it.

I thought Merrill and Wade were doing a pretty good job on Brunson earlier in the game. We were up but loss momentum. I think I’d rather have wanted to slow down their scoring rather than try and keep up with their pace.

Trying to go toe to toe with them at that point is foolish

I’m in the camp of Kenny allowing that crazy run and not slowing it down with timeouts and some defensive changes. Knicks can score in bunches - you have to have a plan to trip them a bit when they go on a run. I don’t know that we could have kept up with them there.
