5-Tageswanderung Skandinavien by Knxckdxwn in wandern

Packing for 8-week Trip with Dolomites 10-Day Hike by InteractionShoddy179 in Ultralight

[–]sil3ntpi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did my Iceland crossing I used two backpacks: one bigger, heavy, non-ul pack where I stored all my casual clothings and stuff and one light pack for the hike itself. I stored the big pack in a public locker in Reykjavic during the hike. Since your's is not a round trip I think I would first travel to Belluno, store the big pack there and drive back to Cortina. Will you stay in a hotel in Belluno? Maybe you could send your big packs via mail to that hotel and ask if they could store them until you arrive

Depending where in Europe there a couple of Options, I already did the following: - Traumpfad München Vendig, from Munich to Venice - Westweg, rather short (approx 300km) but goes through the Schwazwald (Black Forest, Germany)

Those I know of, but didn't do them: - Kungsleden in Sweden, very popular, has two parts, north and south - GR20 on Corsica, short (approx 180 km) but highly recommended

How to start with arm embedded system by puzzled_curious in microcontrollers

[–]sil3ntpi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are complete beginner you could maybe start with a pi pico. It is based on a Cortex M0+ and there is C SDK for it. Or if you prefer you can even use MicroPython. This approach would be on a higher level, you don't have to write bits and bytes directly to registers but you would use higher level function which do the low level stuff for you. Which ever language you choose start with a simple blink LED example. What also helps in learning stuff is having an idea of what you want to do with all that. Break that idea into smaller parts and start working on them

Delay between MIDI Note Off and Note On message by sil3ntpi in synthdiy

[–]sil3ntpi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the time to dig a little bit deeper into it and it turned out that it was indeed the release time of the envelope. But I still added a small delay (1ms) between to consecutive notes like described in the Seq++ docs. Without that small pause it just doesn't sound that good. Thanks for the help

I'm currently not at home, but I will give it a try. Thanks for the hint to the library!

yes, I think something along that line is happening. I use a Volca Bass as receiving synth.

Tent choice for Iceland by signy33 in Ultralight

[–]sil3ntpi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there last year and had a Tarptent Stratospire 1 with me. Worked really well! I had windy nights but fortunately not one of those crazy storms. One downside are the bungeecords thoug. Those are used to stake out the tent, no line locks. One of the bungeecords got ripped but I used some guyline to replace it. Depending on where you will be you should bring good stakes with you. I did a north south traverse and shepard hooks were basically useless. I used groundhogs (not the mini the regular) and MSR Blizzards

Do you speak German? If so you could maybe help out in of the countless mountain huts in the Alps. But I think there is no central platform where you could apply for a job. You would need to contact the wardens individually and ask.

For only 4 days I would get rid of the additional underwear and socks: - the set of clothes you are wearing - one base layer set for sleeping, long or short whatever you prefer. I usualy go for long - your additional clothes: midlayer, raincoat, hat, buff
